"Why am I even here right now", you questioned sighing, "Like seriously, I only really came too Korea in the first place for Jen ; Its her thing not mine. I'm too American for this place. For starters- where can I get a decent cheeseburger in this place?? I mean, how do they expect me to live without cheeseburgers?! They are how I function?! God I miss LA. But then again i guess it's not to bad here, there's no mum and dad arguing all the time and I love my job... I really need to stop talking to myself".
You finished cleaning up the dishes from dinner- it was ramen AGAIN - as your flatmate/best friend ever finished up getting ready. You were wearing a strapless tight top and a short skirt ; you knew you were hot back home but korea was full of beautiful girls- and guys had more of a taste for cute than hot. Jen had moved here with you in December, it was her home turf but she had gone to high school with you in America and somehow persuaded you that you would love it here. You loved it, it was great and you never doubted that, but it wasn't home.
"KATIEEEEE I'M READYYYY!!" Jen yelled in English, jumping out from behind the doorway. "Aish god you will give me a heart attack", you replied. "Awwwww sorry didn't mean to scare baby Katie watie- wad ya think?". "I think you look like a drop dead gorgeous rockstar unnie", you replied glancing at her bright red jacket and tight ripped jeans. She always looked gorgeous and hot but because of her coffee doe eyes she got away with the cute look as well. Jen loved k-pop more than life itself and always dragged you to the concerts with her, it was one of her ways of revenge for you whining about Korea all the time. "Ready to go?" You inquired, eager to get the inevitabley tiring evening over with. "You bettya", she called winking and grinning simultaneously.
