Samuel stood in front of his mirror. A happy smile on his face. He looked down at what he was wearing. It was his usual outfit. Samuel was always bright and happy. He wore some light blue jeans, and a dark green hoodie. His bright blue eyes seemed to just twinkle in the light. His light blonde hair matched perfectly with his eyes. And he was happy. My God he was just about the happiest boy in the world. He always had a smile on his face; always willing to give hugs. He seen everything as optimistic as possible. Samuel Rodgers lived a near perfect life. But- there was one problem. Samuel was gay; in a highly religious family. But of course, if his family really loved him, they'd accept him. Right..?
He shook off the thoughts. Today was the day. The day he was going to come out. To his friends, his family, to the world. He was ready for this. What could possibly go wrong? Samuel turned around, and walked out of his room. He made his way down stairs and into the kitchen. His father sat at the table, a newspaper in his hand. He had a pair of glasses pushed up on his nose. His brownish hair was neatly combed back, making the spots of grey barely visible. He wore a white button down shirt, tucked into black dress pants. He was ready for Church. He was the preacher. His mother was by the stove, cooking breakfast. Her blonde hair was pulled into a pin tight bun. Not one strand would even dare to break free. She wore a long red dress, and little make-up. She was the type of women to make jaws drop. She turned to face Samuel "Good morning dear." She spoke before turning back to the counter. She picked up a blue bowl, and started to mix in it. Samuel figured it was pancakes or something. He gave her a warm smile before sitting down at the table. His father placed the newspaper down "Good morning son. Did you do your homework?" His father asked, now looking at him. His father had always been obsessed with the idea of having a perfect son. Straight A's, religious boy, just the type of kids other parents gawk at. Samuel nodded "Yes sir. It's all completed." His father gave a small nod before picking up the newspaper again.
Samuel tapped his foot anxiously, folding his hands on the table "So I have something to tell you both." He finally spoke up after a few minutes. Both his mom and dad turned their attention on him "What is it dear?" Samuel looked at them both, before letting out a shaky breath.
"I'm gay." And there was a moment of complete silence. Not a single sound. Samuel was holding his breath. He looked down at his feet. The quiet was killing him. A loud clang to the ground made him jump up, immediately he snapped his gaze up. The blue bowl was now shattered on the floor, pancake mix splattered everywhere. His father placed the newspaper down in a rough manner "You better be joking boy. That goes against absolutely everything we stand for." He spoke, glaring at the small boy. Samuel's eyes widened in shock. This wasn't at all the reaction he was expecting. He frantically shook his head "N-no I'm not joking! I like guys.." His father stood up off his seat, causing Samuel to get up as well. His father pointed to the door "Get to school. Now. We'll deal with this problem after you get out." His father spoke. The word stung. 'Problem?' He didn't have a problem. Did he..? It wasn't his fault. And he was proud of who he was! He grabbed his bag and hurried out the door. Rain poured down outside. He threw his hood up walked to his friends house. His friend Joshua, lived across the street. Joshua opened the door, walking out "Mornin'! How'd ya sleep?" Josh questioned, jokingly wrapping his arm around the others shoulder. Samuel shrugged, getting in the passengers seat of the car. They lived about 30 minutes away from school, so Josh always drove them. "Slept fine. Rough morning though." He spoke once Josh was in the driver's seat. Josh started driving, he focused on the road since the rain nearly flooded the windshield of the car. Thunder boomed, lightning struck. It was one hell of a storm "What was rough about it?"
Samuel shrugged "Just my parents. They freaked out over.. something." He wasn't sure if he should come out to Josh or not. I mean.. Josh was his best friend. He wouldn't freak. Right..? "Freaked over what?"
Sam went quiet. Before looking over at him "I came out as gay to them." The car halted to a stop, causing Sam to fling forward a bit. But he just sat back again. Joshua was clenching the steering wheel "Josh?"
"Get the fuck out of my car." He spoke in a cold tone. Not even turning to look at him. Samuel's eyes once again, widened in complete shock "W-what? But the storm.." He spoke in a whisper.
"I don't fucking care. Get the fuck out before I beat you into the cement you fuckin' ******" Samuel quickly nodded, he opened the door and rushed out. Joshua sped away, leaving Sam in the cold hard rain. The boy wrapped his arms around himself, and slowly started walking to school. By the time he got there, he was dripping wet. He missed half of first period. He hesitantly opened the door to class; immediately everyone turned to look at him. Whispers could be heard from around the class, judgemental looks. Word had already gotten out. He looked down at the floor and slowly walked over to his seat. The teacher didn't even bother to ask him why he was late, nor why he was all wet.
The first three periods went fine. But, now it was lunch. The boy wasn't soaked anymore, just a little damp. He grabbed a tray of food, and walked over to an empty table. His smile had returned to his face. I mean, maybe it just takes time. Maybe everyone will grow into acceptance. He started to eat his food, leaning on his hand, when he felt a cold liquid pour on his head. Samuel shivered as it leaked down his back. He whipped around and saw a group of boys, Josh being among them. The main jock, held a cartoon of milk in his hand "What's up Rodgers. A little birdie told me you like it from behind~" The taller male taunted. Samuel looked over at Josh for help. Josh just shook his head "You're fuckin' disgusting. We're not friends anymore. Not until you clean up your damn act." Josh spat. He walked over to Samuel and shoved him down to the floor. He then picked up Samuel's lunch, and dumped it on the ground "Eat on the floor like the dog you are. You like it doggy style anyway ******." Joshua kicked him in the ribs, causing him to clutch his side in pain. The group of boys left him there, in complete shock. The boy he has known for years; just kicked him. Dumped his lunch. The students around him just watched. Nobody did anything but watch. Nobody cared. Not enough.
The day went on. Nobody bothered him for the rest of the day. Well, besides the whispers and stares in the halls and classes. But that was typical. Sam was on his way home now. His hair and back was sticky from the milk. But at least it stopped raining.. right? He walked to his front door, flinging it open. He couldn't possibly have been prepared for what happened next..

Part two teaser

"Please leave me alone.." Samuel whispered in fear. The man ignored him, shoving him back into the all white room. He walked over to where the rest of the group was, and took a seat on one of the uncomfortable metal chairs. The boy looked down at his feet, only hearing the screams of a young female. The begging. The pleading. And then.. silence. She was re-born. Unfortunately, she had to give her life to do so. All because she liked girls instead of guys...
