Pridefall + The Fancam Situation

As we all know, 2020 has been going downhill since 2019. Lots of bad things have been happening. For example, the death of George Floyd, the coronavirus, and the murder hornets (+ The fancam situation).

Of course, it doesn't end there. There is a group of people (I think they're called 4chan) and they are going to start attacking LGBTQ+ people. And by attacking, I mean, psychically and over the internet. They have a big plan called Pridefall, which harasses many LGBTQ+ people by using the same method that the fancam situation is doing (at least online). It will be taking place on the first day of Pride Month, which is in a couple of days.

We can't stop the hate from these terrible people, but there are ways to stay safe. First, on all social media platforms, make sure that your account is private. If you have twitter, turn off AutoPlay and your dms. If you don't know how to do this, there are multiple tutorials on the internet. If someone dms you and they seem even the slightest bit suspicious, do not accept their dm request. If they ask, "what are you afraid of?", do not answer. Block and report them. DO NOT try to be smart with them. This will only anger them and they have ways to ruin your life. They can leak a lot of your personal information. If you have anything LGBTQ+ related on your account, don't share personal information. Don't share your name, face, address, or anything close to giving hints about where you live. Delete any messages or unsend then if you can.

The reason you should turn off your AutoPlay is because these sick people are using really scary videos in their posts. For the fancam situation, the posts seem normal until the video switches to a gore video. The videos include r*pe, s*ic*de, m*rd*r, and even sexual content. They can mentally scar some people. I saw a video out of curiosity and now I can't stop thinking about it.

I don't know much about the Pridefall Plan, but if you have any questions, I'm sure you can ask around on Wattpad. Or, I can tag you in a book about Pridefall.

I recommend taking down face reveals and try not to tell people your real name. My real name isn't Mara. I just use it for privacy reasons.

STAY SAFE, CROISSANTS!!!
