Okay, sooooo......
If you are writing a book with a younger female and older male, and it's a kpop ff
for the sake of my sanity, PLEASE STOP writing hyung instead of oppa. maybe she doesn't like calling older boys oppa, but 'here is Korea man' and they are called oppa for a reason. hyung is an improper way of saying that. if she doesn't like calling older boys oppa, then maybe you can make her talk without formalities. you don't hear Jiwoo and Somin calling BM or J.Seph hyung out of nowhere, do you?
aLsOoOo, flaunting your knowledge of basic romanized Korean words is unnecessary. when you watch shows with subtitles, do they right 'hajima', 'oppa/hyung/unnie/noona', 'jebal'? of course, saying 'yah' is okay because it's a yelling sound. if a korean ff book is written in English, it's written in English and does not need Korean words. It's like reading a Swedish book and randomly finding Russian words in it. most times, new kpop fans with no knowledge of these words won't understand and that's kind of unfair, don't you think.
....
sorry for that unneeded rant, I just needed to get it out
