I'd like to dedicate this chapter to kamie44. The dream was a great idea. She's the reason this book even exists actually 😅
So, if you're a fan of Boku no Hero and you ship Bakugo and Uraraka, go check out her story A fireworks emotion.
You'll love it.
Anyways... enough of my blabbering, moving on...
As he walked past that children's park again, he saw that girl again.
She was on the same bench, exactly as he'd seen her yesterday. From where he was standing, he could see she was struggling to breathe in the cold.
Fushimi made his way over to her. "Hey, are you okay?" She opened her mouth to say something but then closed it again.
Her stunning emerald eyes were shining in the dark, even through her half open eyelids. She was trying not to give in to the darkness.
Fushimi could tell from her manicure that she wasn't a homeless girl. She was probably lost or had ran away from home.
He clicked his tongue. He didn't have time for this, but he couldn't just leave her here. The Captain would be disappointed. He used the red aura to heat up his jacket and put it around her.
"Hey, what's your name?" The girl didn't even have enough energy to cover herself with the jacket. I cannot believe I'm doing this. He sat down next to her on the bench and pulled her closer to give her some of his body heat.
He rubbed her cheeks for warmth, they were ice cold. She looked terribly vulnerable, and as much as he wanted to, he wasn't just going to leave her here.
He picked her up and carried her bridal style back to Scepter 4. Which earned him some stares and a few whispers from the people he passed by.
When he reached the building he headed straight for the infirmary. "I found her outside in the cold, she's probably been there for a few days." Fushimi explained to Scepter 4's nurse as he tried to warm himself up.
"Oh dear, she looks awful, you did a good thing by bringing her here Mr. Fushimi. Anymore of that cold and it could affect her metabolism." The nurse started attending to her.
Fushimi silently walked out the room, as not to disturb the nurse. He stared at the girl for a few moments at the door. She stretched her hand towards him, as if reaching out to him. But then her hand dropped to her side.
Fushimi gently closed the door.
He had done his duty, she was in good hands now. His conscious would no longer bother him, and neither would the Captain.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
It was cold, and Fushimi welcomed the cold. He wasn't exactly dressed up for the weather, but the snow felt good on his skin.
He looked around and there was nothing but endless white, infinite nothingness. But Fushimi didn't mind, it felt... pure.
The white was a canvas for him to dye whichever colour he desired. Or so he thought.
From the corner of his eye, he spotted a patch of green. It was too far away for him to see exactly what it was, but even from here, he could see it was a beautiful emerald colour.
He made his way over to it, but it didnt seem like he was getting any closer. So he moved faster but it was still out of his reach. Fushimi didn't give up though, he kept going and going and finally he made it.
