There were props and long hallways filled with flickering lights. There were haunting masks and ominous children's drawings hanging from the walls. There were kids screaming in fear as their older friends and siblings ran off without them.
Bailey couldn't tell if coming to this place was a good idea or not. Nevertheless, she was now trapped inside this building with a group of ten people who were running and splitting up as each individual searched for the way out.
Some of them wore flimsy, makeshift masks and scared the younger ones as they hid behind doors at the end of the hallways while others clung onto each other, not wanting to let go.
Bailey couldn't quite understand how they allowed children as young as 7 years old enter this place. Especially with its horrific theme.
Fazbear's Fright was built as a way for modern day people to experience and learn about the terrifying incident that happened 30 years ago. For them to "relive" it. It seems sickening that instead of making a memorial, they built a horror house based off of a couple of murders.
Children's murders.
Letting a bunch of kids run around this horror house of nightmares gives Bailey the shivers. It's messed up in many ways.
Since she was 13, Bailey has been really interested in the mystery revolving around Fazbear Entertainment and its restaurants.
Her parents weren't too keen on Bailey's small obsession with this murder mystery. But now at 17, she's very much still yearning for answers. So when Fazbear's Fright was built a few weeks ago, it was no doubt about it that she'd go.
Except she was more or less expecting a memorial with all the information surrounding the murders. Sort of like a museum to pay respects to the kids. Alas, that was not what she got. What she got instead was a horror house that's filled with props, fake drawings and no real answers.
Nothing in this building - so far - has helped Bailey discover anything more.
All Bailey knows is that presumably five kids were lured into one of the back rooms in one of the few restaurants named Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. They were then killed and no one found the bodies. The murderer was apparently never found but there was one suspect. Said suspect never got arrested though. And the real murderer was left roaming freely.
After the killing spree, there was a huge chain of events that lead to the ultimate shut down of the entire business. Currently, there are no more restaurants, no more animatronic mascots, and absolutely nothing left of the original locations.
Each building was demolished and everything was destroyed. Fazbear's Fright is filled with props and only props. And that left Bailey utterly devastated.
"Maybe that's it."
"What do you mean?"
"Maybe that's how it should be, Bailey. This is the end of the mystery. Maybe there's nothing else to find. Everything's gone."
Bailey's exchange with her mother earlier that evening just confirmed itself as she strolled down the dim hallways. The checkered black and white pattern on the floor seemed to stretch on forever in front of her. The kids' drawings hung on the walls felt like they were mocking her.
Maybe her Mom was right. Maybe everyone was right. There's no point in searching for something that is better left forgotten.
Part of Bailey wants to bring justice to the dead kids. She wants to find out how killed them and bring peace to their families. She wants to bring an end to all of this. But another part of her knows that it's probably best to leave this entire mystery alone.
