Chapter Eighteen: The Moon
"Learn from the past, live in the present, and believe in the future." Unknown
~When Remus woke up the next morning, he was in the Potter's house again. He wasn't sure how he got there, but he was hoping that everyone was safe. It was Dorea who came in to greet him with a cup of hot tea.
"The others are alright," she told him and he instantly relaxed, "James, Sirius and Peter came back last night with Sirius's broken wrist being the worst injury between the four of you."
Noticing her choice of words, Remus looked up at her, worried.
"Between the four of us?" He asked and a cough sounded behind her. Dorea turned to see James and Sirius, who nodded at her. She placed the tea on his bedside table and walked out of the room.
"Remus, Lily followed us into the shack last night." James told him and Remus leapt out of bed, his head still throbbing and his body aching, but he didn't care. He needed to make sure Lily was okay. What if he hurt her?
"Where is she?" He asked and James and Sirius pushed him back to sitting on his bed.
"She's safe. We're not really sure where she went, but Dumbledore insisted that she was going to be okay." Sirius tried to affirm him.
"Dumbledore?" Remus asked, "He was here?" James nodded.
"And he knows that last night was a supermoon. This is Lily we're talking about, she's the sweetest, most charming, kindest-"
"Yes, yes, we know you're in love with Lily, Prongs." Remus chuckled. James winked, proud that he got the young werewolf to relax.
"His point is," Sirius began, "that she's Lily. She's not going to say anything to anyone, other than maybe scolding us for breaking the law--" James and Remus chuckled, "--and she's certainly not going to stop being your friend."
Remus nodded and reached over to take a sip of your tea. A knock on the door sounded below them and Remus shot up again.
"Do you think that's Lily?"
It wasn't Lily, however. Standing outside the front door with a slightly bruised eye was the girl they'd been looking forward to meeting for weeks. Her blonde hair was pulled up into a bun and she looked very comfortable standing there in front of them.
Remus noticed two things about her very quickly:
1. Her hazel eyes looked practically identical to James'.
2. Her pictures didn't do her justice. Remus had never seen someone to beautiful."Hello, gentleman," She greeted in a warm voice that instantly relaxed all Remus' nerves. "I'll answer all your questions in a bit, but I came for my journal." James opened the door a little wider and she stepped in.
"H-Holly?" A choked voice sounded from behind them. The boys parted to make way for Dorea and Charlus Potter. Before Holly had any time to relax, Dorea launched herself across the room to Holly and pulled her into a tight hug.
"You're so young." Charlus said, astonished. "You look just like you did the day you left." Holly nodded and awkwardly pulled Dorea off her.
"Well, that's what happens when you're a time traveler."
"How old are you?" Dorea asked.
"I was born in 1960," she told them and Dorea glanced at her.
