One year had passed since Lucy and Sting's relationship had began. As more time passed, Sting had less and less time for his girlfriend. Lucy had began to get worried at one point, believing he had been losing feelings for her and gaining more for someone else. She had invited her boyfriend over to her apartment so they could talk. Although, Lucy loved Sting, her feelings have also faded away from her heart just a little bit.

'What if he says he doesn't love me anymore? Then what will I do? What if he fell for someone else?'

She was frightened about what Sting would say to her about their relationship. She still loved him even if a bit of her feelings had faded away. As she became more and more doubtful, there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Lucy escaped her thoughts and began to walk towards the door.

"It's me, Lucy," a familiar voice was on the other side of the door.

Lucy wrapped her hand around the doorknob gently pulled it to see at the young, blonde man standing right there. She shined a sweet smiled and stepped aside to let the young man in.

"Come on in, Sting." She kept her smile as Sting entered her apartment.

She gently pushed on the door closing it, then turned around to face away from the door and towards Sting. Her hands were constantly moving, her nervousness easily noticeable. Sting noticed how timid she was and he slowly felt unease with each second passing.

"Lucy, are you okay? You seem.. Timid, nervous."

Lucy felt like a sweat drop ran down her forehead, but once she slid her hand across her forehead to wipe it away, there was nothing. She nodded slightly at Sting, forcing a nice, calm smile.

"I'm fine. I just wanted to ask you something."

"Okay, what is it?" Sting was more curious now than ever. Lucy had walked closer to him than they were before, they both remained standing.

"I um.. Well.. I was wondering if.." Lucy was looking at the floor as she began to speak, her hands still moving around.

Sting, feeling even more unease than before, but still as curious as before, began to get a little worried. 'What could she be hiding? What does she have to ask? Did she do something awful? No, that's not the type of person she is. If that's not it, then what is it?' He didn't want to go deep into his thoughts, so he questioned his girlfriend. "Lucy, what's wrong? You're so timid today."

"Sting.. Do you still.. Love me like you did before?" Lucy was starring at the floor as she pulled on her fingers, afraid of his answer.

Sting walked up closer to Lucy, gently pushed a strip of her long, blonde hair behind her ear then gently pulled her towards his lips kissing her with as much passion as he could. Lucy stopped messing with her hands, keeping them slightly in front of her stomach were they were the entire time and felt her boyfriend's soft, smooth lips on hers. The minute he pulled back, he starred into her eyes before he spoke.

"Of course, I love you, Lucy. I don't love anyone else, I don't want anyone else that isn't you. Why are you doubtful?" Sting continued to stare into her eyes, paying more attention to them than her response as to why she became doubtful.

"You've had less time for me than before. I don't want to sound needy, but you and I haven't had much time to talk or see each other anymore. You're always at the guild.." Lucy began to felt guilty because she felt like she was being needy.

"Rouge, Yukino, Lector, Frosch and I have been going on more missions lately. They want me around more often. I'm sorry I haven't had enough time for you anymore, Lucy. I'll make time, I promise."

Lucy raised her hands slightly and shook them back and forth in front of Sting, "No, no, it's okay sting. If you're out on missions with your friends, then it's okay. Don't worry." Lucy smiled at him assuring him it's alright, but Sting continued to insist.

"I'll make up that time I lost with you, I promise you."

Sting leaned in once again to kiss his precious girlfriend, but the kiss was quickly interrupted. The door swung open and someone barged in. There was yelling coming from the person, so loud everyone in the building was able to hear it. The couple turned to look at the door to see who the person was.

"Hey, Luce! Wanna go on a mi-" once the person had realized what was going on, the stopped talking.

"N-Natsu!?" Lucy was a bit shocked he barged in a moment like this. "What are you doing here!? Couldn't you knock?!"

Natsu wasn't listening to her complains for he been broken a little inside for what he was seeing. Sting leaned back away from Lucy, starring at Natsu. Seeing the look in his eyes, he knew Natsu was hurt. Lucy was unable to tell.

"S-Sorry, Lucy.. I just wanted to know if you wanted to go on a mission with me and Happy, but I guess you're busy.." Natsu tried as hard as he could to leave the sadness out of his voice, succeeding. Natsu was about to walk back out the door, when he was told to stop.

"Hey, Natsu. Hold on a sec." Sting quickly placed his hand on Lucy's chin, turned her head slightly and kissed her cheeks. "Go on a mission with them, I'll see you later. Promise." With that, Sting let go of Lucy and walked out of her apartment, but stopped by Natsu first. "Take care of her." He walked out and left back to his guild.

"'Take care of her' I already do," Natsu mimicked Sting had said then complained under his breath.

Lucy grabbed her celestial keys and her whip placing them both on her belt then turned to Natsu. "Okay, Natsu. Let's go on the mission."

Natsu turned to look at Lucy and shined her a big smile, "Let's go!"

They walked out of her apartment and on their way they were.
