Izuku stared at the envelope in his hands. This would decide his future. Whether or not he'd become a hero.
He tore it open, causing for a disk to fall out onto his desk. It made a small beeping noise, and started a projection. Of All Might.
Izuku remembered how All Might had said that he couldn't be a hero without a quirk. Maybe if things had happened differently, Izuku wouldn't have injected himself with the chemicals...
But that didn't matter. What mattered was if he passed or not.
"Hello, young Midoryia! I am here to tell you the results!" All Might's voice boomed, "on the written exam, you got an amazing 100%!"
Izuku didn't really expect much less on the written exam, to be honest, since he already graduated online high school.
"And on the practical exam, not only did you get 50 villain points, but also 40 rescue points for helping that girl."
"Young Midoriya, UA would be proud to have you as a student!!" the projection of All Might yelled.
Izuku started tearing up at this, but they were happy tears. He never thought that he'd actually make it to UA!!
He opened up his door, revealing his mom, who was waiting for him. She instantly noticed his tears, and went to comfort him, but Izuku shook his head. "M-mom, I passed.. I'm going to become a hero!"
<~~~>
Izuku was nervous as he walked through UA's halls. The entire building was so big, it made him feel so helpless. He wanted to shrink down into his blob form, and hide from everyone and everything. Except he knew better than to do that, in front of so many people. At least, not without the hero costume he had designed and sent in.
He scanned the halls, searching for the right class.
"O-oh, th-there it is! C-class 1-A!" Izuku said, turning towards the classroom.
He opened the door up, to see Kacchan sitting with his feet on a desk, and the blue haired boy telling him to take his feet off the desk.
He hoped that Kacchan wouldn't recognize him as he said, "oh hey, you got in too? I never did get your name"
The blue haired boy turned to look at him, as Bakugou let out a 'tch'. "Oh, hello, I didn't see you there! My name is Tenya Iida, from Someii!!" said the blue haired boy, "and you are?". Izuku smiled as Iida held his hand out, and shook it hesitantly, "I'm Midoriya! Nice to meet you, Iida"
He didn't use his full name, trying to avoid Kacchan's wrath. It seemed to work, because there was no reaction from him. "Nice to meet you as well, Midoriya."
"Oh, it's green boy!!" said a female voice from behind him. Izuku jumped a little, somewhat startled, before turning to face her. He recognized her as floaty girl. "o-oh, hey!" Izuku responded, chuckling nervously. "Did I scare you? I'm so sorry!" the floaty girl said, and Izuku shook his head, "nah, it's fine.. I'm Midoriya, and this is Iida. Who're you?"
"I'm Uraraka! I wonder when the orentation will start.."
Just then, a yellow catapillar appeared behind her. "Your all to loud.." groaned the catapillar. Izuku jumped back, startled, and everyone else was clearly startled with the way they all went silent.
The catapillar unzipped itself, revealing a shaggy man with long, black hair, and a gray scarf wrapped around his neck. The man seemed familliar to Izuku, for some reason. "It took you all 8 seconds to quiet down. Rational students wouldn't take so long. If your here to make friends, you can leave. This is the hero course." the man said, standing up. "I'm Shouta Aizawa, your home room teacher."
Aizawa pulled what seemed to be gym uniforms out of his sleeping bag. "put these on, we're heading outside to test your abilities" he said, throwing them at us.
"But what about the orentation? We'll miss it!" Uraraka cried out. Aizawa rolled his eyes, "it's a waste of time. Here at UA, the teachers have the ability to teach however we please. Now, let's get going"
<~~~>
Izuku was honestly somewhat glad they weren't going to the orentation. He didn't like crowds too much, and he probably wouldn't pay much attention anyway. Plus, the uniform was rather uncomfortable. He rolled his shoulders, before walking out of the locker room. He was one of the first to finish changing, and waited out at the field.
Eventually, everyone else got there.
Aizawa then started explaining what was going to happen, "Seated toe touch. Upper-body training. Side-to-side stepping. Grip strength. Endurance running. The 50-meter dash. The standing long jump. Soft ball throwing. Your standard no-quirks-allowed gym tests. You did all these in middle school, yes?" Everyone nodded, though Aizawa already knew the answer. "The department of education is just procrastinating. This country still insists on prohibiting quirks when calculating the averages of those records. It's not rational."
Aizawa tossed a ball at Kacchan. "Bakugou, how far could you throw in middle school?" Kacchan replied with "67 meters"
"Great. Now try it with your quirk. Do whatever you need to. Just don't leave the circle" Aizawa said, pointing at a white circle painted on the ground. "Give it all you've got."
"Awsome" Kacchan said with a smirk. Kacchan threw the ball, powered by an explosion, "DIE!!"
He got a shocking 705.2 meters. A chorus of cheers rang out, yelling out about how much fun UA was.
"You're hoping to become heroes after three years here, and you think it'll be all fun and games?" Aizawa asked, "Right. The one with the lowest score arcoss all eight events will be judged hopeless, and will be expelled."
Not good. My abilities aren't really straightforward in most of those events... I'll have to be creative.. I suppose this is where my analysis comes in handy.
