I wasn't like most girls my age. I wore different clothes, listened to different types of music and dyed my hair rather than letting my natural roots show.

I, Amber Fields, am a person who has been known as an outcast. I had been different from everybody else for as long as I can remember.

I dyed my hair pink, but I didn't like it and thought it seemed too girly. I dyed it a red-brown color for a bit but didn't feel like myself.

I dyed it purple and liked the way it looked on me. I kept it that way for a while until people started to judge me.

I then dyed my hair blue because I felt sad. I felt alone. Then I met somebody who felt the same.
