An uncertain number of days have gone by, Gonard felt the same as he did before. Nothing eventful has happened as there wasn't anything he could do. The vines grew longer, mud became a little dryer but still, Gonard kept yearning for a day where things will change for the better. He sighed as he felt himself starting to fall asleep.
Orelia got up, feeling curious. Mud covered her fur as she explored the cave that was so unfamiliar to her. She started sniffing around before wondering a bit far from the bottle, leaving her owner's side for a moment...
___________
One faithful day two Enirispas had walked through the forest together and came across the overgrown cave. It seemed like a perfect spot for some alchemists to gather materials! As happy as the seemed to be they suddenly looked at each other with uncertainty as they stood in front of the entrance."Do you still think this is a good idea Milani?" The shorter one asked feeling scared as she wiped her specs before putting them on.
"I'm not sure, let's keep our wands close, Ann. After all we did say we were gonna get some herbs to restock." Milani responded with a smile, trying to give some encouragement to both her friend and herself.
The two nodded as they both had drawn out their wands, and slowly started to enter the place. Their wings began to glow slightly, which definitely help add light to the darkness. Other than that, Milani tried her best to use some of her magic to get a better view of the place. Not wanting to drain all her energy the small ball of light that apparently glowed dimly.
"Doesn't seem like there's anything here..." Milani said looking around.
"True, but then again we just started."
The Enirispas continued walking in further. Each step taken led to a crunch as they walked over the plants that have inhabited the caves floor. They held hands to comfort themselves from the unknown things that may lurk in the area. Milani took the lead as she was the one with more light, it wasn't long before she noticed a wonderful sight on the cave walls.
"Oh this looks perfect!" Milani cheered as she saw one of the walls have completely been covered in vines and many little flowers, perfect for potions.
"Yep, shine the light over a bit more so I cut some!" Ann had drawn out a pair of long, sharp scissors from her satchel. She waited a moment as Milani got closer. Snip by snip the plants were cut and then placed into the bag. Some plants that glowed slightly got added in along with a few vines that bloomed small white flowers.
"Should we move to another area?" Ann asked as she cut one last vine off, not wanting to take the entire herb.
"Might as well, come on." Milani proceeded to take the light away and walk forward. Ann placed her scissors back and slowly followed after grabbing Milani's hand.
Suddenly as the two wondered more the sound of what was like a bell's jingle had rang through the cave. The two Enirispas had stopped in their tracks as they started feeling nervous.
"Milani, what was that?"
"I'm not sure, keep your wand and scissors close." Milani continued to walk forward but more slowly. Ann stayed behind her as she started to walk again, pulling out the scissors again.
The noise began to become more audible, it was ringing more violently. Milani then stopped and waved the light around trying to see what it is but then the noise had stopped completely... The two girls just looked at each other confused. Before one of them can say anything about it, a snoofle had jumped from one of the bushes and immediately started circling them.
"AHHHH!"
Ann and Milani had screamed, dropping their stuff and hugged each other for a few seconds before realizing what it was.
