Real Talk + Crafts

With the whole coronavirus situation going on and quarantine, I hope everyone's doing fine. If you ever need someone to talk to, please, technology is at our fingertips. Family and peers are just a tap away! (If you ever need someone else, there's always support helplines you can find online where they'll just chat with you and keep you not so bored! xD)

Anyway, during this holiday in Singapore, I've been pretty bored after finishing homework. So I decided to make some crafts to keep my boredom at bay.

First of all, we've got this banana plush I made following a sewing tutorial online. (I added the tutorial above, feel free to check it out and make one too! ^=^)

And before you ask, I didn't have white felt so I had to use blue instead😂😂

On the bright side, I can say it has personality: It's a Minion banana! :D LMAO

I honestly rlly love it... its face is so kawaii UwU

The banana and its skin are two separate parts so I can actually take them apart. I stuffed the banana with beads so it's pretty nice to squish XD

Next, I also started this knitting project.

Basically, I had this knitting kit for years, but everytime I tried to follow the instructions it gave me, I just couldn't understand it. But one day, I was so bored that I couldn't help myself and took it out to try again.

After a long time of working things out, I finally understood how to do the purl stitch. And so, because it was the simplest thing I could make that came to mind, I decided to make a scarf out of all the coloured yarn they gave me.

Actually, I'm still not done with it (there's still some pink left), but you can see where I'm going with it xD

As you can see, it's kinda disfigured? XDDD Tbh, when I first started practising the purl stitch, I messed up a lot and had to start all over again. So when I was doing this project, I had to try not to mess up in fear of redoing all my painstaking work, and even so, I still made some mistakes.

However, I tried to pull through them to the best of my ability and it came out -all things considered- kinda alright. I think I missed a loop somwhere tho, cuz the scarf ended up getting smaller in width🤣

Istg, I'm not even done yet but can I just say, knitting takes so painstakingly LONG, even when it just becomes muscle memory. I've been binge-watching episodes of Jessie as I knit, so I don't "waste any time" OwO

Lastly, I just received some more masks from the government, so in order to differentiate my mask from others, my mother suggested sewing something onto it.

Ok ok, I gotta admit

Ok ok, I gotta admit... I may or may not have been trying to sew a rose at first... but when tHAT didn't work out, I couldn't bear to snip of everything, so I decided to improvise and rack my brain about what else could come from it. And... this was my brainchild I guess😂

Alright, that's gonna be all for now.

Please, stay safe guys. Wash your hands often (with soap!! And for at least 20 seconds :P), try to stay at home as much as possible and stay happy and healthy :DD

Love ya guys!

P.S This is a great time to entertain yourself with books/e-books!!! As a bookworm myself, I have read at least 15 books that I had borrowed from the library before circuit breaker started -I actually borrowed like 20, but I couldn't stand to finish some of them- and these days I've been reading a lot of ebooks... they're so good😩👊 (I recommend the app Overdrive if you wanna borrow some e-books yourself! ^=^)
