P.O.V EMILY
I open the front door of my house with Shawn behind me. I hear noises coming from the kitchen. My parents are awake. Shawn closes the door behind him and grabs my hand. I hear him breathing nervously. "Mom? Dad? I'm home!" I yell.
We walk into the living room to find my mom on the sofa. "Hey sweetie, how was your..." She slowly stops talking. My dad walks into the living room with tea. "Who is that?" he asks without looking up. "This is Shawn, my boyfriend," I say, a little bit shaky.
I know my parents don't like it when I bring a boy home. Especially when it's a boy they don't know yet. "Hi, I'm Shawn," Shawn says, reaching out his hand to my mother. She shakes it, a bit confused. "Sweetie, I didn't know you had a boyfriend," she says, not even answering on Shawn. "Yeah, I met him yesterday," I say. Shawn sits down on a chair. I sit down on his lap.
"Yesterday?" my dad asks. He gives Shawn an angry look. "Yes, at the concert," I reply. My mom gets up and walks to the kitchen. My dad follows. I hear them argue. "We can't let this happen. She is dating a teenage idol. He will cheat on her." My dad says. "True, they need to break up." Shawn looks at me, a bit sad. I get up and grab his hand. "I will show you my room," I say, as happy as possible. He tries to smile and follows me upstairs.
I open the door of my room. It's small, but cosy. Shawn closes the door behind him and walks around my room. "I love this," he says when he reaches my photos on the wall. Pictures of me and my friends, my family and most of all, my dance shows. He sits down on my bed with his back against the wall. "I'm so sorry for what my parents said," I say and sit down next to him. He puts his hand between my legs. I lift up a bit. Shawn grins and kisses me on my cheek. I turn my head and kiss him on his lips. It's a nice, slow kiss.
The door opens and my dad walks in. I continue on kissing Shawn. He doesn't seem to pull back either. The door closes again and I hear footsteps on the stairs. I pull back now and listen. "They were kissing. I'm not going to tell them. They really like each other," my dad says. I smile.
P.O.V SHAWN
Emily smiles. I heard what her dad said. I'm still kinda sad about the fact that they didn't really cared about me. That they don't care about Emily and her happiness. I hug her tight. Pushing her closer to my body.
The door opens again. This time her mother walks in. "Shawn, can I speak to my daughter for a minute?" she asks me. I get up and walk outside her room. I hear Emily screaming.
As I walk into the living room, her dad gets up and shakes my hand. "I'm so sorry, boy. What's your name again?" he asks. "Shawn," I answer. "That is a beautiful name. Sit down, please. Do you want something to drink?" he asks me. "Tea, please," I reply as I sit down. "You are a good man," he says and he walks away.
I still hear Emily screaming upstairs. "Don't worry about that, I hear it daily." Her dad walks in again and gives me a cup of tea. "I'm Harry by the way," Harry says. "Nice to meet you," I say and I try to smile.
"I'm sorry about what we said. Her mother is talking to her about the things that could happen. We just want to protect her." I look down at my feet. "Yeah, I understand." I look outside. The sun is shining and the birds are singing.
Footsteps run down the stairs. It's Emily. I get up and look in her eyes. She is crying. I take her hand and lead her to the couch. "Are you okay?" I ask and lay my hand down on her arm. With my other hand I take the tears away. "No, I hate my mother. She wants me to break up with you."
Emily buries her face in my chest. I look at Harry. He is getting angry. "Emily, don't listen to your mother. She doesn't know where she is talking about. I talked with Shawn and I think he is an amazing boyfriend," he says. Just as he is finished her mother walks into the room. "You really think so, Harry?" she asks him while looking furious at me. I try to look away. Harry gets up and takes Emilys mom with him.
Emily grabs my hand. "I'm so sorry for my parents. Usually they don't do this..." I kiss her on her lips to shut her up.
I hear footsteps entering the room, but neither of us pull back. We just sit there end have an intense long kiss. It feels really good. I pull back after a couple minutes and smile at her. She smiles back, awkwardly. I turn around to face her parents. Her mother smiles at me and her father winks. They finally agree.
I turn around to see what time it is. Two in the afternoon. "I should go, final rehearsal," I say as I get up. I give Emily one last kiss on her cheek and then walk out of the door.
