First mission

Many shapes think that the government is good. That it will protect them. So they stay calm, not bothering about problems that aren't theirs. And they believe that the government will solve them.

But they are blind. The truth is, most of their problems cause the government itself. Frequent attacks and protests are caused by what the government is doing. It's really sad how many shape monsters are attacked and killed throughout the year. Every few weeks, there's at least one attack or murder of a shape monster. The most twisted part is, that they are usually killed and injured by guards.

Guards killing shape monsters are enraging shapes all over our land. There are many protests all over the country, most of them ending by big conflict. The last one ended with one guard station being set on fire.

I'm the shape monster as well, and it enrages me too. But I don't waste time by participating in protests or making aware. No. I'm doing something about it. Unfortunately, most of the shapes consider my "job" illegal. And it is.

But, there is one place, where laws of Paradise Capital have no effect. Place, that is like from another dimension according to the rest of our land.

This city is extremely dangerous and full of corrupted shapes. But it's a small price to pay for being truly free. Many shapes have their business here.

Gunmakers and dealers, drug dealers, and some more illegal fun. Many of these are part of mafia and gangs.
As far as I know, they operate everything from there and they have their people scattered all over the land.

I pulled over to the parking lot and checked the letter I got, to check if I'm on the right address.

I got the letter a few days ago, asking for my hitman services and offering me a job. It said, that one shape will be there to take me to the boss. I saw a spiky shape in a suit, standing impatiently on the other side of the street. I guess that's the guy.

I put a letter into my pocket and slid a handgun behind my belt. I walked over to the shape. They were corrupted and dressed in a classy coat. Shape gave me a questioning look and I showed them the letter. The shape quickly read through it and then showed me to follow them.

They led me to the side alley and then entered the old building. I followed them inside. We entered another floor and I realized that the old look was just a camouflage for mafia hideout.

We passed a few other shapes and then reached a big wooden door. "Boss is waiting," shape said and entered the room with me following.

It was a big room with a fireplace and desk. Behind the big desk was sitting shape I assumed was their boss. He smiled at me and showed me to sit. I sat on the other side of his desk and shape sat next to their boss.

"Thank you Ketex, I can handle it from here," the boss said and Ketex scoffed and left the room.

"Welcome my friend, care for a drink?" the boss said and grabbed a bottle with weird pink liquor inside. "I guess I'll pass" I responded and the boss took a sip.

"I heard you are an elite sniper. And you were in guard but left a few months after joining. All other people you worked for were satisfied with your job. No evidence, no clues, no witnesses. I guess we can make a deal and you can kill someone for us" the boss said and leaned back in his seat.

"Depending on how much you offer," I said. "10 000 for every target you successfully kill," he said. "That's insultingly low" I was starting to get annoyed. He makes me go across the land only for 10 000. "Look, you will either play by our rules or try to walk out of here alive," he said and put a gun on his table.

He is trying to threaten me. But I kill shapes like him every day. "Make it 25 000 and maybe I will think about it," I said and smirked. "You little..." he tried to grab his gun, but I was faster and grabbed my gun, loaded it, and aimed at his head. He didn't even get to load his. "It will take you exactly 1,35 seconds to load this type of Revolver, so I recommend making it 25 000 or get a bullet right into your forehead," I said with deadly glare and he smiled. "I like you, you know how to make deals. 25 000 it is then" he said and I lowered my gun.

"Go outside, Ketex will take you to armory and planning room. You are hired" he took a gun from his desk to one of his drawers. I was about to leave when he said: "Hey, and what's your name. Mine is Blixer" I turned around. "Splinter" I slowly said. "Welcome to the family, Splinter" he grinned and I left the room.

Ketex showed me around their base. There were many corrupted shapes, so it felt kinda uncomfortable to be the only grey shape in here. He later left me alone and I went to my car and parked it in their basement parking.

I took my equipment and started to prepare it in the armory room. My equipment lasted of sniper rifle with scope, night vision and flashlight, two handguns, and a combat knife.

"Hey! You should come to the planning room. Now!" some shape said after entering armory. I put my things into a bag and went to the planning room.

When I entered, I stayed in a small shock. "Audacity? What are you doing here?" I asked the female shape that was facing a board with names. "Oh! Hi Splint, how are you doing?" she smiled at me. "I'm doing fine and you still haven't answered my question" I went near to her. "Well, I work here duh. Do you remember our last job? Well, as you left, a guy who hired us offered me that he knows some guys that need some more hands and I took it" she explained.

I never expected her to make it into corrupted mafia gang. She was a blue shape, so I expected her to be corrupted by now.

Wait, I just realized..."Wait a minute, does this mean we..." "Yep! We will be partners! Isn't it exciting?" she jumped in joy. "Jesus Christ..." I sighed and sat on a nearby chair.

I met with Audacity a few weeks ago on my last job. She was always happy and cheerful and that made her annoying sometimes. She was really good at tracking shapes and she was fast, so she was a valuable runner and hitman assistant.

"So, who is on our list this time?" I asked and took a closer look at the board. "We have a few names here, but our first one will be captain of the guard. He is responsible for every nit arrested guard who killed the shape monster. Did you meet Blixer?" she said. "Yes, very nice guy," I said sarcastically. "So, this list comes right from him. It's people who he has a problem with and wants them dead by any chance. I heard that he was originally shaping monster too, so that is why this guy is here" she explained. "Okay, so what's our plan?" I asked. "I found out he will have a public conference at Paradise Capital in about three days," she said. "Okay, we can work with that. We will need exact blueprints of buildings nearby and information about guard posts" I started thinking. "I think the boss has some contact in Capital, so we can get all info we need from him" Audacity suggested.

"Okay, that can work," I said and leaned back in my seat.

This will be so much fun.
