Going in

Many people ask what is their purpose in their life. Some people make their decision and that's it. Some just do something and say it's their purpose, but they are lying. And some are just so tied up in their thoughts about their purpose, that they miss it. Sometimes, you have to get rid of some people to find your true purpose. Many times you have to sacrifice your loved one. Big win, bigger cost. Hard choice. Will you find your true purpose but get rid of your loved one, or will you endlessly roam without purpose and someone you love will still be there?

And sometimes, your purpose is to die for someone. For something.

When we all arrived, it was pretty dark. Good for us. "I'm on my way to position, the secondary car parked. How is it going down there?" I said to the radio we were connected with. "Dropping off Audacity near the duct," Lycan said.

"I'm at the entrance point. Going in," I hear Audacity from the other end. "Good. Operation starting now," "So, are we still gonna use that 'initials only' rule?" Lycan asked. "Yes L," I said. "Alrighty than S. How is it going on your end?" Lycan laughed a little, then changed to his serious tone. "The device is in the place, all set," I said and continued to walk to my position.

The mansion was surrounded by hills and mountains, and I was on the top of one of them. "Motion detection down. A, where are you?" Lycan asked. "I'm getting through the first set of crossroads. I will be going into the vents in 2 minutes, " Audacity responded. "I'm on the position. L, where are you parking the van?" I arrived at the top of the hill and started preparing my rifle. "Near the food drop-off," Lycan responded. "Yep, I see you. If anything messes up, be ready to get out of there," I said and looked for the target.

"I don't see him. L, can you get me on their radio signal?" target wasn't on the visible place, so I figured out something else. "Yeah, give me a minute," Lycan said and a few seconds later, I could hear everything the guards were saying.

"When will the boss arrive again?" I head one guard say. "I think in 10 minutes, be ready to go to the main gate," another one said.

"Guys, he is not there yet. A, where are you?" I made sure to not accidentally say it into the wrong channel. "Entering vent system, " Audacity said from the other end. "Get to the blind spot of motion detectors, we can't have them shut down for too long," Lycan said. "Yeah, just a few meters. I'm there, you can turn it back on," Audacity said and Lycan turned detectors back on.

"He is supposed to arrive at a front gate, but we need him somewhere where not many guards will be around," I informed them and set a timer for 10 minutes.

"L, someone approaching the van," I noticed one guard walking to our van. "Then take him out," Lycan panicked a little. "I don't want to alert other guards about us. Try to talk it out or something," I said but aimed for the guard's head, just in case.

Lycan quickly got to the driver's seat and the guard walked right to him. "Calm night, huh?" the guard said and lit up a cig. "Yeah, boring I would say," Lycan laughed nervously but tried to play along. "Yeah. Did you drop off the supplies?" the guard asked. "Umm....yes. Yes I did," Lycan stuttered. "Another one will come in a while, so move it," guard looked at Lycan. "Hey, I don't remember you. Are you new?" guard was starting to get suspicious. This wasn't good. "Yeah, I'm new," Lycan still played along. "Hey, why do you have that in your back-" this was enough. I shot him right in his head and the guard fell down. "Jesus Christ, warn me before you shoot S! I got blood all over me, " Lycan said a little angered. "Sorry, but it was too risky to leave him alive. Put him inside the van," I said and looked around if anyone noticed. Looks like no one for now. Lycan pulled the guard into the van and went back inside.

Five minutes.

"Hey, Cereb, all cool down there?" someone asked in the guard's radio channel. Cereb must have been that guard. Lycan must have heard it too because he grabbed Cereb's walkie-talkie and tried to imitate the guard's voice. "Yep, all cool," his impression was really close. They might eat it. "Cool, get up here. We will play some cards with the boys," I quietly cursed. Now what? "I will pass, don't want to get caught slacking in the job," Lycan tried to play it cool. "Alright, enjoy doing nothing," the guard said and went quiet.
