Kaze woke up, in a cold sweat, in the dark of night. She sat up abruptly, with her eyes wide, and hands behind her holding her upper body up. The young hunter looked beside her, Kenji stirred, turning towards her. 

"You have that nightmare again?" He groaned, opening one eye. She nods, as she was trying to catch her breath. The male titan sits up, rubbing her back. 

"I'm sorry," the hunter blurts out. 

"For what?" He rubs the sleep out of his eyes with his other hand. 

"I keep waking you up everytime I had this nightmare...!" She sniffles, and her eyes began to water. She hasn't been herself since her husband left. Her emotions are more out of control and is extremely sensitive. But Kenji has a lot of patience with her. 

"Hey, hey... There's no need to cry. I promise I'm not mad!" He says in a very deep, groggy, morning voice. She swings her legs over the side of the bed, putting her back to him. 

"Kaze..." Kenji sighs, his arm falling on the bed, " look at me...I'm not mad at all. I never have been or will be. I don't sleep much anyway, you know this..... I've slept better since you've been sleeping here but that's besides the point." She shook her head, she was being very stubborn. 

"Please look at me.... trust me!" She cut her eyes, but of course he couldn't see that. She is scared to trust him even though she knows he won't hurt her. She's just scared. 

"Little one, please look at me! I love you, you know that right?" The purple haired hunter nods her head. "Then look at me. Please just turn around...I'm not going anywhere. That is a promise! I'm not Ronin. Not trying to speak bad about him. He's a good man, he's just a scared as much you are, and I know he's hurting as well." The Titans shoulder length, black hair fell in front of his face. Silence over took them as they say there in the dark, with the moon as their only source of light. It was glistening off his caramel, skin. 

"I'm sorry that was a little brash. But you've been here for me since we met. And it's my turn to help you as well." He felt the bed sink a bit and felt a hand intertwined with one of his. She was on her knees in front of him, holding her head down still. He looks up and grabs her chin, forcing her blue, eyes to look in his hazel, ones. 

"Im not going anywhere..." The Titan made sure his voice was low and calming. He removed his hand from her face. Kaze leaned towards him, putting her forehead against his. 

"I know you aren't going to leave, because if so you would of done it by now. And I love you too Kenji. I wish he would come back...I miss him...so much. And like you said I'm scared..." 

"And I know you are! And that's ok! You have every right to be scared and to miss him. I wish he would come back for your sake. Even if it means we can't be together. I want you to be happy that's all I care about! Seeing you happy makes me happy. Plus he was my friend as well..." Kenji brought his hand up to the back of Kaze's head and began stroking her, short, hair. The hunter relaxed into his touch. She leaned in and closed her eyes, placing her lips on his. Kenji closed his eyes and claimed her lips.

Ronin laying in his bed, in his new apartment, just trying to relax. His mind was racing, it wouldn't shut up. He couldn't even shut down for the night, like he would when his wife was with him. He missed her so much but he was so angry. Everytime he thought about that night he wants to punch Kenji. He hates that his wife is in love with another man. He don't know what he did wrong to make her unhappy. He slammed his robotic fist against the mattress. Fuck he don't know what to do anymore. He never thought he would be going through this. She never did this with Dax as far as he is aware of. She waited months after they broke up to even start talking to him. The black, colored, exo just wants things to be normal again.
