"Remind me to never let you sit never let you sit next to me in class again.", I frowned, pushing my books to the side as soon as the bell rung.
"And why should I do that?", Dylan asked with a smile playing on his lips. It's been there for a while.
"Cause I learnt absolutely nothing.", I sighed, glancing at the board, wondering when they wrote all the science stuffs they did. I didn't even know the topic.
"Oh...", He trailed, leaning on the chair and slouching a bit.
Dylan literally talked through out school today and I couldn't tell him to stop. I didn't want to stop hearing his voice. It was comforting, but then again I wanted to listen to the teacher as well. I was hoping at least one teacher would tell him to shut up and one did, but he completely ignored him.

It went like, "Dylan, please if you could just lower your voice.", the class let out a gasp when the teacher said that.
"Avery I've told you to try putting your hair in a ponytail.", he said, ignoring the lady, leaning in to me and gently brushing a hair strand behind my ear with his finger.
"Dylan... The teacher.", I said, glancing at the poor lady. She looked stressed.
"Yeah, she tried seducing my dad once. What's up with her."
And that's how he ended English class for the day.

"I had fun today.", he said with a small grin.
"Yeah, of course you did.", I said, rolling my eyes then getting up. His eyes followed me but he remained seated. "We should get going."
"Told my dad not to come pick us up today."
"Why?"
"I wanted to walk you home."
"There's no need for that.", it'd be embarrassing for him to see how I'm 'welcomed' home by my dad. "Surprised you want to walk though.", I sat back down, using the chance to change the topic for now.
"Whys that?"
"You're kinda lazy."
"Pardo-", he wasn't done talking before the door slammed open.

We both sighed, turning to the door to see who it was.
"Dylannnn!", I let out another sigh when I saw who it was.
"Brett.", Dylan said, not sounding as excited  Brett did.

Brett's one of the very few people I could call a friend of Dylan, though according to Dylan, he has no friends.

Brett's one of the people Dylan hangs out with, they play a lot, laugh a lot. They argue a lot as well. He's more of a best friend than I am.

"Leave." Dylan said as soon as Brett got to us.
"Why?", he asked, sitting on my desk them leaning in to me. "Hey beautiful.", and there came the flirt.
"I've told you to stop calling her that.", Dylan interfered, sounding threatening.
"Wow wow wow. Someone's being a bit possessive.", he grinned, throwing his eyes ay Dylan. "Heard both of you were dating."
"We're not.", I corrected him.
"Hah! I guessed right. He's not your type. Now is he, baby girl.",
"Brett." Dylan called out his name.
"I'm even surprised you guys still hang out. I was expecting you to be with me by now."
"This guy is annoying.", Dylan said, under his breath then said to me. "Avery, we should get going."

"You guys are walking?", he got up as soon as I did. Dylan got up after.
"No. My dad's waiting.", Dylan lied, probably to keep him away.

You can say they're friends when I'm not around. When I am, Brett suddenly starts irritating him for the littlest reason.
"Yeah right. You guys would have been out of here a long time ago if he was the one picking you up."

Dylan held my hand, ignoring Brett then pulled me out.
I giggled a bit. One person that could annoy Dylan as much as he annoys me.

"He doesn't know when to stop."
"Don't get all grumpy. You do things like that too."
"I don't.", he spat out.
I didn't give a reply though, I wasn't about to argue with him about what he does and does not do.

"I really don't know what he's looking for. I should've punched him earlier.", he continued complaining when we got out of school.
"There's no need to fight him. You can't start loosing the few friends you have, dimwit."
"Avery, I want few friends. As little as possible.  I don't mind having only you. As long as I can tell you my mind."
"But you can't."
"I can. I just don't cause I feel you don't want to hear but that's going to change. I promise.", he said squeezing my hand a bit. "You know...", he trailed after. "Some times. I wonder if you're my future mate."
"Why's that?"
"Cause we match."
"Pfft.", I rolled my eyes. "I can't be matched with someone so annoying."
"I'm not annoying. You're just short tempered."
"Not short tempered, just allergic to stupidity."
"Not allergic, attracted.", he said, wiggling his eye brows
"What?"
"What?", he laughed, looking ahead. "So what way's your house?"
"We're going to your house."

He said noticing, just glance at me. By the look in his eyes, I could tell he had questions and he didn't plan on asking them while we were walking. His eyes said, 'We'll talk later'.

I didn't like the idea of him finding out what I go through. The last thing I want from him is pity and him finding out might change our vibe. I don't want that but again, I could ask my own questions and get to know him more. I want him to know me more too. I don't want any secrets between us but talking about sometimes can be difficult.

"My house then.", he smiled. "Why don't you just sleep over today?", he suggested.
"I wish I could."
"I could make your wish come true."
"Don't worry about it, fairy."

I enjoyed the sound of him laugh while I swung my arms a bit to kick off the tension I felt, thinking about him finding out about my dad. God knows what his reaction would be. I can't guess what he'd think or what he'd say. Or if he'd say what is on his mind.
I just hope things would work out.
