Chapter 2: Warm Welcome? I think not.

As the taxi drove further into nowhere, you were busy watching your favorite anime on your phone. You couldn’t help it; after being locked in your room like Rapunzel, watching anime was like an escape from reality where you could just adore bishies looking hot wherever they were, doing whatever they were. ‘Why can’t my life be so exciting?’ you sigh and question yourself as the episode finishes.

While you were busy pondering over why the anime world can’t be real, the taxi came to a halt. “Ms. (L/N), we’ve arrived” the driver of the taxi told you as he pulled over and exited the limo, opening the car door next to you. “Thanks” you mutter as you get out of the limo only for your mouth to hang open upon viewing your new home. “If you don’t close your mouth, you might get a bug inside” the driver jokes as he pulls out your suitcases from the trunk and places them on the ground. Your hands reach for your handbag, and violently move around in that small space to look for your wallet. ‘Shit’ you curse as you stare at your bag in disbelief and turn to face the driver with a shaky smile and cross your fingers behind your back. ‘Dammit, it’s not like you let me get my wallet and everything with me’ you cursed your father in your head and let out a big sigh. ‘At this rate, I’ll need to get a job… but what do I do about this?’ you question and look at the man who extended his palm to receive the money.

“How much would that be?” you hear a soft female voice from behind you as you quickly turn in surprise and see that it belonged none other to Komori Yui. Your eyes widened as you stared at the woman paying for your taxi. “S-senpai! There was no need to do that!” you yelled utterly embarrassed as your hands move around franticly in the air. “Reiji-san told me we’d be having a new guest, I never imagined it would be you (Y/N)-chan” she chuckles at the end as she takes your suitcase and starts making her way to the mansion. “Eh, wait!” you yell as you quickly run to follow her, and look around insanely to examine your new house. ‘So the rumors are true… she actually lives with them’ you thought to yourself as you stared at her hair bobbing with every step she took. Soon you had entered a huge mansion, and you were asked to sit down. “(Y/N)-chan, I’ll get something for you to drink, so just wait here!” she said joyfully turned on her heel and then walked away before you could open your mouth.

Your hands were fidgeting with the end of your shirt until something had caught your eye, rather, someone. You got up, and without thinking approached a man, with curly blonde hair that seemed to be asleep with earphones in his ear. "Ah… this guy…” you narrow your eyes and examine the sleeping man. ‘What was this guy’s name?’ you pinch your chin in attempt to remember his name. Other than him being a Sakamaki, you had absolutely no idea of who he was; after all, you weren’t those typical fangirls in school stalking these handsome bishies, and it had only been a week since school started, you weren’t even aware of half the people in your class. ‘Sho… Shu… Shin… what was his name?’ you ask yourself and pause for a moment. You decided to shrug it off because you were too confused, but without thinking, you take your finger and poke the guy’s face. He doesn’t respond so you do it again, this time keeping your finger on his face for a longer time. Your eyes suddenly widen in surprise and you jerk you arm back and stare at him in shock. “You’re so cold” you said in surprise as you take your palm and keep it on his cheek and squint. “He actually… looks so prince like” you mutter quietly as your hand caressed his cheek, and slowly made it’s way to his hair. ‘But… he’s so cold for some reason… is he even breathing properly?’ you asked yourself as you brought your finger to his nose, and saw that no air was coming out. ‘Haha… this guy is good at acting’ you say in attempt to convince yourself as you slowly press your ear onto his chest and quickly gasp in surprise. ‘His heart… it’s not beating’ you jerk up in surprise and stare at the man who seemed to not even have moved a muscle. ‘No, no, no, no! If someone sees me here, they’ll think I have something to do with his death’ you shake and quickly back away from the sofa. ‘I’ll never be forgiven for the death of the famous blondie’ you gulp as your body began to tremble.

“Is there something wrong (Y/N)?” the female suddenly asks you from behind causing your heart to skip a beat and a chill to be sent down your spine.

“I SWEAR I DIDN’T KILL HIM! HE WAS DEAD WHEN I FOUND HIM!” you yelled immediately after the voice stopped it’s statement and turned around, raising your arms in the air as if you were at gun point. She looked at you, and then at the couch and burst into an innocent chuckle. You raised an eyebrow and looked at the female confused. “Why are you laughing?” you ask the chuckling female who walked over to your side. “You’ll see” she said gently as she looked at the sleeping man and then flicked his forehead with her finger.

“What… I was enjoying that…” the man mutters as his eyes open, revealing his cerulean orbs that struck you the minute your (e/c) orbs met them. “How the heck… how are you alive?” you question as your eye twitches as you raise a finger and point at him. “Too troublesome…” he said quietly as he turned his head the other way leaving you in a state of immense confusion. “H-hey! I asked you something” you yelled as you frowned and crossed your arms. “Ah, it’s still day so they’d be really sleepy right now” Yui replied with an apologetic smile and asks you to sit down on the couch next to the blonde.

“So… there are more brothers right?” you ask the female as you take sip of the lemonade she made you. 

“The triplets, Ayato-kun, Laito-kun, and Kanato-kun are sleeping right now, Reiji-san if I’m correct has gone out for some work, and Subaru-kun, he’s well-“

“Dammit, this place reeks with the stench of another human, Yui, did you bring someone over?” an annoyed voice interrupted Yui’s answer. You immediately recognized the voice and stood up only to view that a certain white haired male, or somewhat pinkish with silver, was staring at the three of you in the room with piercing scarlet eyes. “What the hell are you doing here?” he asks you vexed as he approaches you with his hands crossed and glares at you, causing your heart to beat rapidly.

“(Y/N)-chan, you know him?” Yui asks you surprised as she stares at both of you and giggles slightly.

“Damn right I do” you mutter and returned the favor by glaring back at Subaru.

“Are you both classmates or something?” the blonde man asks you as he turns his face towards you.

“Seatmates to be precise” you reply and sigh.

“Tch, I’ll never accept someone like her to live with us” he scowls and walks away from you causing your face to heat up.

“Well I’m sorry I’m not like those fangirl bitches you all have!” you yell at him even though it barely had any relation to what he said, causing him to freeze.

“That’s right, you’re even worse than them” he says before walking away.

“Worse? You’re the one who’s worse!” you yell back not knowing what else to say as your hands close into fists. 

“Can’t think of anything better to say? Just shows how pathetic you are.” he coldly mutters loud enough for you to hear before disappearing into nowhere, leaving your cheeks flushed and your furious eyes sparkling. 

“Screw you!” you turn away from the crowd and storm away to the door of the mansion, pushing it open with all your might. ‘Worse, pathetic, can’t they all say something else?’ you question yourself as you grip your fist tighter and march away from the gate, with tears threatening to escape your eyes. After furiously exiting the scene, you didn’t know where you raged off. You sigh as tears drop from your eyes slowly, and crouch down and burry your head into your knees with the words ‘worse’ and ‘pathetic’ playing in your mind as if it were on repeat. ‘What the hell did I even do to him? That idiot… that rude, obnoxious idiot…’ was the only thing you could think of as your shirt became wet with tears. ‘I can’t believe I’m even crying over this’ you questioned yourself as you took a deep breath in and bit your lip. “Being criticized for things I haven’t done, tch, I’m used to this”you chuckle and sob at the same time as you look up at the day sky. “Just thanks for reminding me Subaru-kun” you muttered as you exhaled deeply.

“(Y/N)…” you hear a voice from behind you making you violently wipe the tears off your face and turn around.

“You…”
