Chapter 10

3 days later

Changmin POV

11AM

My mother came in my room, asking me to wear formally later on as we have a visitor at 12pm. I simply just nodded and she left the room. I went through my phone and video called Hyunjae and thankfully he picked up. I sat up upright so I didn't see who the person on the screen was.

"Hey bro, what's up?" I said, eyeing on my screen. "Yo.. So you went back?" He asked. "Y-Younghoon....H-how.." I mumbled, eyes widened. "How I have his phone? Oh, he's somewhere right now." He said. "Oh- oh, I- I have to go now.... S-someone else's calling me!" I lied, wanting to quickly end the call. "Wait! Just... Before you end the call.. I want to know why." He said, making me raise my brows. "W-why what?" I asked. "Why were you rarely talking to me? For the past 2 weeks?" He asked, as I gulped.

I can't just tell him 'Oh it's because I like you and I will miss you alot so I was ignoring you.'

"Sorry!" I said and ended the call. I sighed as I laid flat on the bed when I realized that I had to change soon. I groaned as I got out of bed and headed straight to the showers.

At 11.45am, I came out with my changed clothes. I combed my hair and looked into the mirror and I looked just nice.

(that handsome guy just pierced my heart with the arrows hwall always use. Someone revive me.)

I used my phone until 11.55 and head to the living room. My parents were already there and I sat beside my father. Around 10 minutes later, the guests arrived. My parents greeted them, and so did I. They took the seat opposite from ours and started introducing.

"It's great to meet you. I am Lee Wonho, this is my wife Min Seoji and my daughter Lee Yewon. As you know, we're from the Kingdom Canva. It's approximately 3 hours from here." He said as my father gave him a handshake. "I believe you know us, but introducing will be no harm. I'm Ji Sanho, and this is my wife Jung Miya. This is my son, also the Prince, JI Changmin." My father said.

"Now intros clear. Shall we get straight to the point?" My mother asked as the others nodded.

"Yewon, meet Changmin and Changmin, meet Yewon. You two are betrothed. This is for the future of Canva. Me and Yewon's father thought alot about it." My mother said as I rolled my eyes slightly.

Future my ass. Probably 'This will raise a good image for me.'

Just then, the girl, named Lee Yewon, stood up. She gave a smile to my mother and said,"Could I borrow Changmin for a while?" My mother nodded and I stood up, leaving the living room and walked down the hallway. As soon as we were far from the living room, she sighed.

My brows raised as I questioned, "Why are you sighing?"

She looked at me and bluntly stated, "Look, Ji Changmin, or whatever your name is. I will never like you, no matter what."

"Oh? Why that way?" I questioned, smirking. "I like someone else from my nation. And I want to be with him.." She said as I leaned on the wall. "Don't worry, I think we both are the same." I replied, making her look directly at me. "Can I tell you everything about me meeting him? I trust you and in return, tell me about the one you like." She said as I thought about it. "Do not tell anyone, even my family." I said and she nodded.

We headed to my room and locked the door to prevent anyone from entering. "You first.. Mine is very complicated.." I said. "So, I was just walking out from the palace to explore the places and I saw him working in a shop. I entered the shop and ordered a drink and went to my seat when he came with my drink on a tray. He gave me a smile and said hi, so I replied with a hi back. Then he asked why I was here and it was rare for me, being a princess to go out cause I didn't really go out at all. And so I just told him I wanted to explore around the city, which is right. He then wrote his number on a slip of paper and gave it to me as I smiled at him. That was our first meeting." She said and continued.

"After that, we would like either call or meet up somewhere and get closer and one day, I realized when we were meeting up, that I like him but I've kept it hidden. I have not tell anyone.. Not even my friends know this, other than you." She said, smiling at her own past. "Okay now your turn. Tell me how many people know about your story first." She said. "Err... Around 11? 12? They're mostly my friends." I said as I start explaining.

"So you really can't say this to anyone... But like 5 months ago, me and my group of friends, living here, like born and raised, decided to follow me and escape this nation.. At first some people were against it but in the end they followed me. We escaped to Vega and stayed there for like 4 months. But like 2 months after we left Alta, the Prince of Alta made an announcement. He opened up a so called event if you could say. The person who passed all the stages that he created, will marry him. At first I didn't really want to take it, but my friends told me to do it, so I did... And.." I paused as he looked at me surprised. "Wait you passed?!" She shouted as I quickly covered her mouth, nodding. "Wait so technically...you are gonna get married to the Prince of Alta... But you're in Vega right now." She said and I nodded.

"I.... I told my other 5 friends who are from Alta. And one of my friend is the guard for Younghoon...and my room, I'm staying together with him until I told my friend that I want to stay with him.. To like, you know.. If you are gonna leave, you'd definitely want to lessen your friendship or relationship. Yeah, that what I did to Younghoon, and like 4? Days ago, I came back." I said.

"Does your parents know?" She asked as I shook my head. "So... The person you like.. Is the prince? Or the Prince's friend?" She asked as I mumbled, "The Prince...."

She then smiled. "Have you all done anything?" I looked at her confused as she hit me. "Don't play innocent here. You know what I mean."
She said as I processed what she said and after I did, I blushed and a smirk could be seen on her face. "Ohh~ you clearly did~" She teased. "Yah..can you not tell my parents about this. I really don't want to let them know." I said as she nodded.

It looked like she wanted to say something but I just thought it was my own imagination.

"So we've technically told each other the person we like.. Shall we get along as friends?" I ask, asking for a handshake. "Yep, as you know, my names Lee Yewon. It's good to meet you, Ji Changmin." She said, returning the handshake. "You too, Lee Yewon."

In the meantime..

Younghoon POV

"Let me go to Alta. I have to find somebody." I asked my parents as they shook their head. "I'm really sorry son.. But you can't go..because..youre going to be the king in 2 weeks time." My mother said.

Er yes what indeed.... I have to go school tmr and so I might be publishing my chapters when I'm only free..
