How the heck did Millie end up clinging to Andrew's arm like her life depended on it?

The first few minutes had been so scary that Millie unconsciously had moved closer to Andrew. Then there had been a jump scare that made her grab his arm. And she had then used his abnormally big, muscly arm as a shield against the demons on the screen throughout the movie. Andrew had thrown amused glances at her and chuckled every time she had screamed.

"Don't go in there you stupid blondie!" Millie screamed, only trying to help the blonde teen girl, since Millie knew that the girl who already were a demon awaited her on the other side of the door. When she didn't listen to Millie, Millie quickly raised Andrew's arm to cover her face as she heard the girl scream and probably die.

Andrew chucked again and Millie death glared him.

When the movie was finally over, Millie exhaled. "That was not a fun experience." Millie said.

"For one of us it was." Andrew winked at her as he gathered the empty bowls and soda cans. He left for the kitchen and Millie went to find a bathroom.

After having opened three doors without a bathroom behind it, she finally found one. It was white and shiny and Millie almost blinded herself after having spent so much time in the dark home theater. Before doing her business she looked at the clock and noticed that it was later than she had expected. Her brother needed her at work soon.

When she left the bathroom, she noticed Andrew sitting by the pool. She joined him and took a seat next to him.

"It's nice having someone to hang with." Andrew mumbled and kept his gaze in the ocean.

"Agreed." Millie whispered and looked at the ocean herself.

"You wanna go for a swim? In the pool." Andrew asked.

"I can't." Millie sighed. "I need to be at the restaurant soon."

"Oh, of course."

He sounded so disappointed that Millie couldn't help but to turn her head to look at him. When she did, he did the unexpected. He caught her lips with his and kissed her again. Slightly rougher than earlier today. He placed his hand on her back and to her surprise, her hands made their ways to his shoulders. Her fingers began playing with the curls in his neck and she heard him groan with pleasure, from something she had done to him.

When they parted for air, Millie made sure to create some distance between them. "I need to leave." she whispered.

Andrew nodded and stood up. He grabbed her hands and helped her up before he lead her towards the front door.

"When do you go off work tonight?" Andrew asked, hope clearly visual in his eyes.

"Midnight. And then I'm helping mom open her store tomorrow at eight."

"Sounds stressful."

"Not as stressful as it is about to be. When summer arrives." Millie shrugged.

Millie turned around to leave, but Andrew shouted behind her.

"What about the night after that?"

"Midnight. And I don't work the morning after."

Andrew smiled. "Pick you up after work then."

Millie shrugged, smiled and left.

The evening had a slow pace to it. Not many costumers came so Millie and Becca cleaned out the large fridges in the kitchen while two other girls ran the restaurant. They talked about the future wedding between Becca and Nate and Becca asked Millie about her dream wedding.
