My Past Before Now

Chapter 10

I got a call from Alex saying that we were leaving in two months to be exact. I've been finding it hard to move around and get up. Alex was packing his stuff so he could come and stay with me and help me. Although I was almost out of my boot, he still insisted on helping me out.

I enjoyed him staying with me and always being there for me, but sometimes it got crazy. He buys a lot of Dr.Pepper and then leaves it out and falls asleep... I have to clean it up because he's in his room with probably more trash.

I don't really mind since I had to somewhat live like that after I got home...

Luke's been texting me more often saying how he misses me and loves me. I don't buy it cuz it's bullshit. Did he every day that to me in the hospital? No. So why would I buy it now?

I got up and moved over to the mirror in my room and looked at my face. My roasted chestnut hair was all tangled up in my bun. My restless brown eyes looked as dull as ever. I grabbed my toothbrush and headed toward my barroom that was also my closet.

I began getting ready as I looked at the clock. "12:24" it read. Alex should be up by now... I grabbed my black thermal leggings and put on a tank top. My eyes scanned my closet to find my favorite black sweatshirt, it was soft and warm.

I finally found it when I heard something in my door. It was repeated knocking. "Come in," I yelled letting Alex come in. "What do you need?" I muttered taking out my make up and putting it on. I was going to ask him to go to the store with me so I could get some boots, but this looked urgent.

"Look out side." He grabbed my arm and then picked me up bride style. He carried me down stairs and told me to close my eyes. This made no sense, he told me to look out side, but now I can't because my eyes are closed. He set me down and turned me around. "Open your eyes."

I did as he said. And when I opened my eyes, I saw a blanket of snow spread across my backyard. It was the middle of winter so it mad sense, but why did it excite me?

I felt hand wrap around my legs and waist, and then I was in his arms. He looked at me then opened the door and ran outside. The snow fell all around us. The snowflakes looking perfect and delicate. It looked to amazing to ruin, except he dropped me... And I got a snowball to the face...

I ran inside and locked him out since he was just in shorts. He kept on screaming while I laughed at him until I let him in. He tackled me to the ground and told me he's not letting go. I kept on laughing and finally started tickling him till he let go.

I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a spatula and acted like I was fencing, He grabbed a meat grinder and fenced with me. This was the most fun I've ever had!

Then there was a knock and everything went silent...
