BLURB: All Luke wanted was Michael's love and attention, but he never got it. (angsty af)
Luke sat on the far end of his and Michael's bed, watching as his boyfriend flicked the switches of his PlayStation remote and shouted at his friends through his microphone. The small blonde was quite bored to say the least. It would be like this everyday. Michael would return home from work, take a shower alone, eat something that Luke had prepared for him and then sit on the bed for the rest of the night, playing pointless games with his friends. By the time Luke went to bed, Michael was already passed out.
What made matters even worse was that Luke hated it. Don't get him wrong, he loved Michael with his heart and soul, but he felt like the older boy never had enough time for him and the feelings of love were one-sided. Call him an attention whore, but Luke yearned for the day where Michael would put down his controller and cuddle up with Luke instead, watching shitty movies and littering his face with kisses.
Luke was more upset than he had ever been before, and Michael had no idea.
"Michael," The younger boy decided to speak up, edging closer to his boyfriend.
"Wait, Luke, gimme a sec-" Michael muttered back, too transfixed by his game to even look at Luke. He began yelling to his friends again, something about moving away from the explosions, only riling up the blonde's frustration.
"Can you look at me?" Luke asked in a small voice, making the red-haired boy huff in annoyance.
"I said in a second, why are you being so annoying?" Michael grumbled, eyes widening as his character did something. Luke didn't know because he really did not care about Michael's stupid game right now.
"I'm not being annoying, I just-"
"CALUM, I SAID GO FUCKING LEFT NOT RIGHT, DUMBASS!" Michael yelled, cutting Luke off. Luke's face grew red hot with anger since he realised that Michael wasn't listening to him at all.
"Michael, please, I want to talk to you." Luke begged, feeling tears begin to pool at the bottom of his blue eyes as his boyfriend's nostrils flared, still paying no attention to the blonde's words.
"Just go downstairs or something, you're annoying me." Michael muttered back, yelling at Calum again.
"Oh I'm annoying you!" Luke let out an ironic laugh, a tear slipping down his cheek "you have no idea what I'm feeling right now! You act like you don't even know me!"
Michael rolled his eyes, hearing Luke's voice, but not his words.
"Quit being an annoying bitch and fucking go away, Luke, I'm sick of you!" Michael groaned, and finally Luke stood up, his vision clouded by tears as he made his mind up.
"Fine." he deadpanned in barely a whisper, making his way over to his hanger and unhooking his backpack, unzipping it and shoving in some of his stuff. He wasn't really sure what he was packing because he could barely see through all the tears.
"What're you doing?" Michael asked casually after a while, still playing his stupid game and ignoring his two best friend's comments of him being a bitch to Luke.
"Going." Luke sobbed back, angrily zipping the bag up and throwing it over his shoulders. Michael frowned, letting out a questioning hum. It was only when Ashton informed him that Luke sounded like he was crying did Michael's green eyes widen in realisation, but Luke was already out of the room door by then, making his way down the stairs.
"Shit." Michael yelled in a panic, throwing his remote down and leaping off the bed, running after Luke while stumbling many times in the process.
"LUKE, LUKE!" he yelled, sprinting just in time to catch the small boy with his hand wrapped around the door knob, sobbing helplessly. Michael's heart ached at the sight.
Luke froze at the sound of Michael's voice, dropping his hand to the side and turning around, his bloodshot eyes finally seeing his boyfriend's green ones meet them.
"What are you doing, Luke?" Michael asked in a pant, hand against the wall to steady himself as he watched the other boy bite his lip to suppress another sob.
"Y-you told me t-to go away" Luke replied, voice shaking as more tears fell from his crystal blue eyes.
"No, Luke I didn't mean it, just come back up and we'll have an early night together, yeah?" The red-haired boy suggested softly, smiling lightly at Luke, who's position still didn't shift. That was until he shook his head, eyes blazing.
"No, you never pay attention to me anymore. Everyday you come home and completely ignore me. We don't even talk! It's like we don't even live in the same house. I'm so upset, Michael, and you don't even care. I've had enough, I need to find someone who'll actually love me." Luke ranted angrily while Michael just stood there in shock, "Goodbye, Michael." Luke's voice broke at his last statement as he whipped around, turning the door handle and walking outside, breathing in the air and getting ready to a new life, without Michael making him constantly upset.
This one was shitty, sorry
