School already felt different today.
It felt weird to just walk in normally, after all the emotions I had the other day. Like an emotional hangover.
Daichi and I walked in together, but didn't split like we usually do.
He had measurements for the spring pamphlets before class started. I hardly doubt he grew.
"What do you want to do for Christmas this year?" he suddenly asks me.
November was growing closer, just by next week. So Christmas is basically around the corner.
"Hm, doesn't matter. I thought the same as always." I simply tell him.
We usually do Christmas with our parents and nobody else. It's always been that way.
"I was thinking of having the team over. We could do Secret Santa or something." he suggested.
Celebrating Christmas with the team seemed fun.
I could get them all presents. Oh, Kageyama and I would hangout a lot that day.
Just thinking about it made it seem really exciting.
"Okay, I wouldn't mind that. We could set up a dinner reservation for mom and dad, since their anniversary is around that time. So they don't have to be there." I advise.
I look over and he grins at me. It was unusual for him to smile towards me, especially so early in the morning.
"What?"
"It's just nice to see you talk more often." he states.
Psh, give me a break. I cringe at the own sound of my voice everyday.
"Shut up." my voice grew smaller.
We arrive at the nurse's station and walk in.
Kiyoko, Yachi and the other third years were already inside. Asahi was currently getting measured.
"Ha, you hardly grew." Daichi laughs at his results.
Asahi became all sulky and grew blue. He truly is a huge softy.
Daichi steps on the scale and Kiyoko writes down his measurements.
"176.7 centimeters." she announces.
I snicker and try to hold in my laughter. He didn't grow at all.
"Shut up, you're still short!" my brother raised his voice at me, which causes me to let out a little laughter.
The only one to really grow was Kiyoko herself.
The third years and I walked out of the room, only to be greeted by the first years and some second years.
Hinata looked overly excited to be at school today, but he must've been getting more attention than usual.
"Good morning." Tadashi greets us.
We all return with greetings and make way for them to enter the room.
Kageyama and I made eye contact, but was quickly broken by Tanaka basically jumping me.
"Little Daichi!" he shouts.
We haven't even been to our first class and he's already forming a headache. How delightful.
