Lyn stared at the muscular back of the young master. Shooting out of his hands were dark tendrils of energy.
Lyn turned around to get out, but the entrance to the exhibit was gone.
"You? How did you- are you one of them? A snake?"
Lyn spun around to see an angry Jungkook. She glanced at the tendrils warily. "Uh, hey. Mr. Jeon. Y'know calling someone a snake upon first meeting is kinda rude. Right?" She chuckled nervously. This only seemed to anger him. The tendrils of darkness grew thicker and darker. Lyn glanced at them warily.
"If you aren't a snake, how could you get in? Only those of Descent can enter formations. To mortals, it just looks like a normal room." He sniffed the air slightly.
"That's weird. She doesn't have the mark of the Feathered and she doesn't smell like a snake. How did she..."
"L-let's calm down shall we?" The tendrils started to reach towards her. They curled, reaching out towards her. When one of them licked her, a burning mark appeared on her skin. That was her cue to run.
Lyn started running. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god," she thought. In front of her was a gigantic boulder and she ran towards it, hoping to hide behind it. As she started to climb it, sharp...
"Feathers?" Lyn stared at the sharp feather that pinned her shoulder to the boulder. Following it were feathers that pinned her arms, torso, and legs to the boulder.
The last feather nicked her neck as it pinned her collar. Her blood dribbled down her neck and onto the boulder. Lyn heard a dark cackling that sent shivers down her spine reverberate through the strange space.
A flash of light exploded, filling the space.
At last, our queen has awakened! The sun will finally be devoured by us! Yes, feel the full reach of your power! Blast that petty bird to bits!
The feather daggers had dissolved and Lyn's clothing was torn in multiple places. Her hair had grown out again. However, this time, instead of brown, it was a dark eggplant purple. Her hair was long and luscious and instead of hanging limply, it was lifted around her, like the snakes on Medusa's head. Little silver glitters shimmered in her hair. Jungkook stood a few feet away, his teeth clenched in anger.
"And you dare say you aren't a snake?"
He shot his hands out, black tendrils flying out and turning into feather daggers. Lyn covered herself with her arms, preparing to be pulverized.
"Bye, mom. Bye, dad. I'm sorry I never got to really apologize for sneaking out. I love you."
Lyn hunched there for a few seconds and then looked up. Her hair had grown even longer and was wrapped around the feather daggers. At first, the daggers cut through her hair, but more hair grew in its place, like a hydra, and engulfed the daggers.
Jungkook glared at her, his eyes starting to glow a golden color. Lyn caught his eye and a bone-chilling wind penetrated her. A golden feathered egg wrapped itself around her. Tendrils of purple hair were cut off from their source of energy and hang limply out of the egg. Lyn's eyes closed and she fell.
Deep.
Deep.
Deep.
"You crazy bitch! How could you kill Quinn? She was your friend!" screamed Hara as she pulled my hair.
I didn't do it. I didn't do it. No. Stop. The classroom fell away and I was transported to the field.
No. Stop it. DON'T. My body moved of its own accord, handing out the letter to the handsome boy in front of me.
