Ch. 6: Under Pressure

Two weeks have passed since the fight in Mistral, our group of heroes are in the snowy mountains defending a train from a pride of Manticore Grimm. "Have I mentioned I really hate the cold!" Damien yells while he fires pulsar blasts at any Grimm that land on the train. "About 3 times since we got here!" Yang shouts while punching some Manticore on her side. "That's because I really hate the cold!" He yells back. Oscar and JNPR are further up on the train, shooting down other Manticore. Then Oscar yells out, "Tunnel!" Everyone rushes to get back inside the train before it's too late. Meanwhile, Adam returned to the White Fang palace and killed those that called him out for his cowardice at Haven Academy. After his massacre, he sits upon his throne, contemplating his next move, his mechanical hand gripping the armrest with anger fueled intensity.

But we rejoin our heroes about an hour before the train leaves. They are busy trying to get to Atlas, Qrow was currently sending a letter to Ironwood that said they'd be coming soon, the main gang are waiting for the train that will take them to an intermediate destination, Argus. "So what's this place like anyway?" Damien asks. "Pristine coastline and awesome beaches!" Nora excitedly says. "Beaches huh, guess that means pretty ladies in swimsuits." Damien smiles while thinking about it. Yang slaps his head, "Ow! Hey I was just thinking of you, I swear." He said defensively.

Weiss isn't too excited about this trip since she tried her best to leave Atlas in the first place but Ruby assured her that team RWBY won't leave her side for a second. Then two random huntsman arrive, "Well, well, well, it's your lucky day. If you are worried about this crossing, for the right price, we are the best protection you could..." "I'm gonna stop ya right there." Damien interrupts, "If you two are guarding this train, how about you start with not leaving the service door wide open and unsupervised." He points out. The two look over and seem embarrassed, they leave to go actually do their job. "If Wingus and Dingus there are train security, it's a good thing we're riding along too, for their sake." Damien adds. Qrow returns and they get on the train, their trip finally beginning. Damien notices that their route goes through the mountains, which make him look unusually worried. "Mountains? Mountains mean cold! I hate the cold!" He whines with a face of mild panic. "Hey if you get a chill, I'll warm you up." Yang whispers to him as she passes by, looking back with a flirtatious smile and a wink. "Please be cold, please be cold." He prays to himself as he and the group continue to their rooms onboard.

Before anyone can get settled, the train is ambushed by a large group of Manticore Grimm. The two guys from earlier are already outside fighting but one gets carried off by a Grimm almost right away. The rest of the gang arrive and start slaying as many Grimm as possible, that's when Oscar yells about the tunnel. Everyone runs for a gap but Jaune slipped so Damien tele-pushed him to safety but Damien couldn't get there in time. The gang regroup inside, the other guy got his arm broke when the train entered the tunnel and nobody can see Damien. Then he opens the car door behind them and walks in covered in bits of stone and shivering. "What happened?" Ruby asked with some concern.

"Well I pushed Jaune to safety and by that point my face became rather intimate with the side of the mountain. I got knocked off the train, killed some Manticore and flew back onto the train. Good news though...3 less Manticore are following us." He says while wrapped in a blanket that Yang handed him. Qrow is still yelling at the guy for being stupid while Jaune heals his injured arm. Ruby cuts in between the arguing men, trying her best to return them to reason and formulate a proper plan since the Manticore are still following them. After some discussion, they will move the passengers into the front cars and, with Jaune's help, Ren will mask the emotions of everyone there. Then RWBY, Qrow, Damien and Ozpin will be on the back cars, detach them and kill the Grimm while the others escape.
