YUNHO POV

My fans were dragging away Y/N in protest, and she was struggling to get out of their furious grip. She had a million cuts all over her arms and face, and no matter how hard she kicked and pushed, the fans would not let her go.

"Yunho!" She yelled, trying to grab my hand.

I held out my hand to her, only to have it grabbed back by my own manager, my team ateez, and even my chairman, who looked at me with disappointment on his face.

"Y/N..."

"Y/N!" I yelled as I woke up. Luckily it was just a dream.

Letting out a sigh of relief, I looked at my phone, only to be greeted with tons of missed calls and messages from my manager. Worried, I tapped open his messages.

I didn't even try reading the rest of the article.

Shooting out of my bed, I fixed my bed hair with my fingers and threw on some better clothes. I quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth before running out my dorm door to go see my manager.

Y/N POV

Yunho's manager called me to the company, saying it was an emergency and I needed to report to him immediately. When I reached the building, everyone was running around, being chaotic.

A staff member spotted me and quickly rushed over to me.

"Hello, the chairman is asking that you attend the meeting too," she quickly said. "Please follow me."

We rushed over to a room, where a lady was pacing around the room with a stressed expression on her face. She saw me and sighed. "Please take a seat Y/N."

I looked over at Yunho who was not even sparing me a glance. I gulped at the serious aura in the room and sat down.

"Let me get straight to the point," the chairman spoke up. "I'm not going to ask you two if you're actually dating, or nag you about the consequences either. But this is happening and we need to fix it."

She dropped a copy of an article onto the table. My eyes widened at the title.

Dating scandal?  Yunho had just debuted, and my existence has already gotten him into trouble.

Standing up, I quickly bowed down to the chairman. "I'm really sorry Ms. Chairman. I should have been more careful about this situation."

She put a hand on my shoulder and I looked up at her with apologetic eyes. She gave me a warm smile. "It's okay Y/N. It's not a sin to fall for someone at your youthful age." She sighed letting go of me. "It's just that society does not look well into these situations, since they want their idols to be only for themselves only."

She turned around, facing Yunho and I. "So we are going to hold a public press conference later today. And I'm sorry Yunho, but you will have to break up with her publicly."

I held my chest and fell into my seat. I couldn't hear anything around me for some time, and angry tears clouded my vision.

Why though. It's so unfair. Why do I need to sacrifice my relationship for someone to sexually market my own boyfriend?

I sat there, helpless. Knowing there was nothing I could do about this situation.

YUNHO POV

It was almost time for me to step up on the podium during the press conference. Which meant it was almost time for me to sign away my life and lose Y/N forever.

I was backstage, and there was no one around except for me, as I was trying my best not to cry about the whole situation. I was taking deep breaths when suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I turned around to face Y/N, who had a warm smile on her face. "Nervous?" She asked.

I couldn't bring myself to say anything, so I just nodded. "Look, Yunho, I understand that this is a really difficult sacrifice for you, as it is for me." She spoke softly.

"But your entire career, this debut that you've been working years for is on the line," she smiled and shook her head. "And I'm not worth sacrificing all that hard work."

I pulled her into a hug. "No Y/N, don't say that. You're worth everything to me. The time we spent together was so precious, and the memories we made are so important to me."

"Even if I leave, you will still have my memories though, not so bad is it?" She responded.

I shook my head, my grip on her waist tightening. "No I don't want you to go," I managed to choke out. I bit my lip to keep me from crying.

She gently pushed out of my hug and looked me in the eyes. She wiped some stray tears that managed to slip down my cheeks and gave me a warm smile. "Look, I will support any decision you make on that stage today. Even if that means leaving you, I will do it. Because all I want is for you to continue being a part of Ateez and pursue your dreams of being an idol." She gently released my grip on her and stepped back.

"I believe in you Yunho."
