EMPTY EYES
The pain of a broken past
A childhood better forgotten
Scars that will never heal
A heart that can't be fixed
Empty eyes see no purpose in life

Violence, alcohol, and drugs

Devoid of guidance
He is avoided, despised, and feared
No one sees the lonely child within
A child still aching for love and shelter
Life is empty and lonely
The drugs and alcohol keep the pain away
But only for so long
As he waits for death to finally take him
