A few hours later, they'd picked up Delilah and we're headed to the airport.

Harry held Zayn's hand the entire way there, while Zayn stared out the window, not saying a word.

Harry: "hey..."

Zayn looked over his shoulder toward his husband.

Harry: "it's gonna be okay"

Zayn: "no baby it's not, I can't do this without you"

Harry: "you've done it without me plenty of times before Zayn, I promise."

Zayn: "I know...I just, I can't fucking stand being without you."

Harry: "be strong for Delilah. She needs you"

Zayn: "I know"

Harry: "and hey, I love you. More than anything in this entire world."

Zayn: "I love you too"

A few minutes later they'd made it to the airport around 8, Harry wanted to be there an hour early just in case.

Zayn got Delilah out of the car to say their goodbyes.

Harry crouched down to meet her height and held both of her hands while a tear fell down his cheek.

Harry: "Daddy's gonna be back soon princess, but I need you to take good care of baba for me...he gets a little crazy"

She giggled

Delilah: "I'm gonna miss you daddy"

She wrapped her hands around his neck and hugged him close.

Harry: "I'm gonna miss you too baby girl"

Delilah: "when will you come home?"

Harry: "in 5 months"

She looked confused

Harry: "I'll be back for Christmas okay?"

Delilah: "okay"

Harry: "I love you, so much"

Delilah: "love you too daddy, go fight the bad guys for us"

Harry: "I will princess"

She kissed him on both cheeks before he lifted her back in her car seat and shut the door.

Harry slid his hands on Zayn's hips and rested their foreheads together.

Zayn: "this is the worst part right here"

Harry: "fuck I know"

Zayn: "you've gotta get through security and shit though, so as much as I want you to stay and hold me like this, you can't"

Harry: "I know baby"

Zayn: "be safe and uh...just be careful. I can't afford to lose you"

Harry: "you won't, I'll be home for Christmas yeah?"

Zayn: "mhm"

Harry: "I love you Zayn, I really fucking do, and I will for the rest of my life baby. I know this is hard on us, but we make it work because we love each other. All of this is for you and Del, I promise."

Zayn: "I love you too Harry, and this is gonna suck, but call me every night and I'll answer no matter what fucking time it is."

Harry: "I will"

Zayn: "go catch that flight my handsome man, I love you"

Harry: "I love you too, be careful on the way home"
