She awoke before him at dawn and went over to her mirror. She brushed her long curly dark hair, humming to herself. When Connor went to turn over in bed he noticed an empty feeling. He sat straight up fearing he might have sucked the life out of her. But when he arose he noticed she wasn't in the bed. He got up quickly, so fast he couldn't be seen till he was standing.
He tried to walk slowly around his chambers, he knew she didn't know what he had become. He didn't want to scare her, he wanted her to feel safe. He walked into the royal bathe room and she wasn't there, the clothing area. Still she wasn't to be seen. He walked over to a different room that was apart of his chambers and saw her sitting at the mirror brushing her hair.
The scent off her skin filled his nose. She smelled so good so pure, so inviting. He heard her sweet hums, they sounded so beautiful. He walked over to her but he noticed something. As close as he was, wouldn't she have known he was behind her, even if he was silent? Then he noticed he didn't have a reflection, she would have never known he was there anyway. He looked down a bit sad. It was if he never existed. No reflection, no heart beat, no emotions.
He then walked a bit to the side "hey beautiful" he whispered. Anna turned to her side to meet his gaze, "oh good morning to you Connor!" She said happy. He had never seen her so happy in all the many years he had known her. She faced the mirror again brushing, " I am excited to be wed to you today! It's the only best thing that has happened to me. I have looked forward to this day for a long time." She said smiling. Connor couldn't help but smile back.
"But knowing that your a prince, what would you possibly want with a peasant!" She questioned herself. He seemed to want to be closer but he couldn't. " we'll like I said, men choose the women they marry, not the women. I knew you loved me, an I love you, so why not marry?" He questioned " why is a princess and a peasant any different?" She sighed "the wealth, the beauty..." She replied soft. Connor looked down " your wealth doesn't matter to me, an you are more beautiful than any princess I have ever seen."
Anna couldn't help but smile. She stood and kissed him upon his lips. He held her close getting deep into the kiss. She smiled into it and softly pulled away. She looked up at him, "something about you seems different." She said scanning him. He looked away "what do you mean?" He asked. "You're more built, strict, serious, you seem like your always hunting..I don't know what it is your hunting but it seems as if everyone is prey, everyone is a threat." She replied looking at him still.
He hesitated, should he tell her...or should he not and risk what he has. He looked at her "Anna...I.." He started. Just then bells rung, " oh! We best get ready! The wedding is almost beginning!" She shouted excited and ran away fleeing for her long gold and white gown. He sighed and his body went limp as he watched her. He wanted to tell her so bad.
