"Last night. 11:30 in the evening...and you're asleep already."

Mace stepped back when Patrick stepped closer. His smirked remained at umiling at hindi na itinuloy ang paghakbang papalapit sa kanya. Instead, he sat down on her bed, naging katabi nito ang cellphone niyang nabitawan niya sa kama at naka-on parin iyon, sa article na binasa niya with his picture and the model daw.

Kinuha iyon ni Patrick. Wala namang lumabas na reklamo mula kay Mace as she just stared at him. Using her phone, scrolling and it sure that he is reading the article. Mabilis lang iyon bago inabot sa kanya ang phone niya. Her hand automatically reached for it, mabilis niyang inabot iyon.

"S-She's beautiful and sexy." Hindi niya alam kung bakit nasabi niya iyon. Tinignan niya ang magiging reaction ni Patrick. And...

He's just looking at her, stoicly. Like she didn't say anything like complimenting the woman that was linked to him in the article. Mace really don't get him. Ang daming magaganda ang nagkakagusto sa kanya partida mga artista at model pa yung iba.

She's curious. Kahit kailan ba walang epekto tong kagandahan ng mga babaeng katulad nito?

Did he even already had sex?

Agad na iwinaksi iyon ni Mace ang katanungang iyon. No, she can't imagine it. Hindi niya kaya. That's a painful blow for her to imagine.

Suddenly, silence engulfed in between them but that only lasted for a minute when a loud booming sound coming from the thunder. Mace just gulped, umiwas ng tingin kay Patrick at bastang naupo...exactly two meters away from him. Muling bumaba ang tingin niya sa cellphone, it's still on, the article is still there so she just tap the home button.

Inilibot ni Mace ang tingin sa kabuuan ng kwarto bago bumalik kay Patrick. Hindi niya alam kung bakit nandito ito ngayon, she does did not expect Patrick to be a thoughtful husband. All she knew, hindi siya nakatanggap ng malambot na pakikitungo nito sa kanya. He's awkward with her, she's awkward with him..pero,

Nakakasama din naman niya mag-isa si Patrick noon. But their situation right now, it's different. Dati, kapag nasa hangout place siya at naaabutan doon na si Patrick mag-isa, nagdadalawang isip siya kung tutuloy ba siyang tumambay at matulog tuwing vacant time niya. But she ended up stepping in, smiled and greets Patrick while he will just nod at her.

That's always their scenario.

Antok na antok si Mace nang makarating na nang Hangout. He texted Elton if they're here but he replied no at may ginagawa daw itong assignment group activity pa sa classroom. Nang makarating siya ay deretso siyang pumasok sa loob. Sleepy and ready to drop her body to the comfy couch. But suddenly, natigilan naman siya nang may tao.

Mabilis na kumurap-kurap ang mga mata. Nandito si Patrick, mabilis lang itong lumingon sa kanya bago muling humarap sa laptop nito. She thinks he's busy.

"Ah..m-matutulog lang ako, Pat ha." Sabi niya rito. Patrick only nod without looking back at her now. Napanguso siya doon at tinahak nalang ang couch. She can sleep there comfortably, the couch is wide, dalawang tao na nakahiga ay kasya rito. Mace laid down when she settled her things on the side, a bit uncomfortable because of Patrick's presence, she still force herself not to mind it and fell asleep.

The next next day...

Naabutan ni Mace si Patrick na papasok ng Hangout. It's just 2 in the afternoon, habang siya naman ay dalawang oras ang bakante niya at deretsong training nalang pagkatapos. She will just worked with her assignment reflection in their minor subject.
