Chapter 7: Moon

5 days later...

NAKANGITING pinagmasdan ni Mace ang magandang tanawin ng dagat. With the hit of the strong sunlight, the clean sea water is sparkling brightly. She's in the yacth, own by her cousin's Elton and it is sailing off to Cupid Island.

Saka naman napatingin siya sa kinaroronan nina Patrick, Kevin at Nathan. Nag-uusap ang mga ito, Kevin and Nathan were even laughing and she even saw Patrick smiling. The difference when she's not with them and when she's with them. After that unexpected incidengt when the typhoon happened, balik sa normal si Patrick. Like that side of him was a just a dream.

And now last night, Patrick informed her about their honeymoon vacation in their island resort. Cupid Island was owned by her great grandfather named, Cupid Sebastian.

The island resort was given to her Mom, the famous Alli's restaurant was her own built while the shipping and cruise ship line company was given to her Mom's older brother, Elton's Dad, her Tito Earnesto and now it's even Elton who is currently managing it now.

Cupid Island...obviously the name itself was from their great grandfather. And Mace even admire how the island resort start. From how it was greatly manage and at the same time, the romance story that happened between their great grandfather and great grandmother.

Mace great grandma, Alexandra was not from a well-off family, very different status from her great grandpa, Cupid. At the age of 22, the inherited island from his parents was given to him and he even decided to start of another business although he was already managing one.

Cupid Island, their great grandpa named it by his name itself. It become popular as soon as the island resort was ready to start. And there also starts the love story of them. Their great grandpa met their Mom as one of the diligent worker and beautiful woman he had ever seen.

'Your great grandpa says, he was attracted at first sight. He even says your great grandma was so beautiful, ang galing nito sa trabaho but one thing he really doesnt like above it all...Your great grandma has a lot of suitors.' Her Mom says, naiiling na ngumiti kaya naman hindi rin napigilang mapangiti ni Mace sa knweto and her Mom continue the story.

Napangiti naman lalo si Mace at saglit na napatingin muli sa dagat. She really like the story of her great grandparents. One thing that dhe think was kind of funny about his great grandpa, he was a jealous man sa mga may gusto sa great grandma nila.

Saka naman naputol ang pag-alala ni Mace ng marinig niyang tinawag siya ni Kevin.

"Babe!"

"Hmm?" Sabay lingon naman niya sa kinaroroonan nito. Kevin's smiling, Nathan too but there was Patrick, simply frowning at Kevin.

"Elton called. He's already in the island and waiting for us." Napatango naman si Mace sabay ngiti at thumbs up sa kaibigan. Then, Nathan spoke.

"We've been talking here about half an hour now and your just there, Sweetypie. How about joining us here? Parang hindi tayo magkakaibigan niyan." Saka ito tumayo at ayos ng isang wooden chair sa tabi nito. Mismong nakapagitna sa kanila ni Patrick.

And there it goes, tumayo nalang din siya. Dahil hindi naman kalayuan ito mula sa pwesto niya ay agad naman siyang nakarating. Nakatingin naman sa kanya ang tatlo, the two were smiling while her husband friend, he was just staring at her. Awkward namang ngumiti si Mace and finally sat down. And there, their conversation continues and it's now Patrick's turn to just become silent and listen to them.

An hour later, Mace suddenly felt sleepy. It's after all a two hour sail and since she's not that really used to sailing, she kinda feel dizzy too and in need of sleep.
