"Hey, Hey...!! I know you can hear me...!! Explain yourself...!!"

The Voice kept pestering her as she kept ignoring it while coming down the stairs from the roof of the pavilion. Her feet were slightly trembling as she walked down, seemingly the after-effects of the shock of almost dying.

"If you keep ignoring me... I will keep annoying you. Since you claim you can't hear me, this shouldn't bother you, right?" The Voice kept talking to her ignoring her state of mind.

"There once was an ugly poop... it was so dark in color that the other poops would..." The Voice started telling her one of the most vulgar stories she ever heard. She had a hard time maintaining her expressions and not throwing up on the spot. She tried her best to ignore the clear voice stating the tragedy of the Ugly poop as she made her way into the very room her fiancé Grant, broke off their engagement.

The Room was currently empty as Grant and Patricia were probably on the ground floor enjoying the party with the others. Selena looked down and just as she had assumed, there was a variety of rings on the floor. As an Aristocrat attending the birthday party of the third prince, she was well dressed and had a lot of ornaments and jewelry on her. In her emotionally disheveled state, she had pulled out her other rings alongside her engagement ring when she was depressed.

She observed one of the rings closely which was now on the floor. It was the same ring that Bishop Brian had given her when she was two. That was the ring that had sealed the voice inside her head. That explained why the voice started talking to her again on the roof.

She picked up the ring and started putting it on her finger.

"The Ugly poop taught others not to judge him by the color of his-------" Swoop...!! The Voice suddenly stopped as the ring was on her finger again.

"Oh, Thank God...!!" Selena exclaimed as she finally breathed a sigh of relief. The ring still works. The Voice was starting to drive her crazy and maybe soon enough, she would have jumped off the roof, this time, of her own volition.

She sat on a chair in the room and started collecting her scattered thoughts. Today was a strange day. She suddenly received an invitation by the third prince to attend the Royal party. Her Fiancé took this opportunity to break off their engagement. She almost killed herself because someone passed onto her a cursed magic item that amplified her depressing thoughts. And then the Voice of a thirties something man appeared in her head, which saved her and started telling her the class struggles of the poop society.

'Was this a plan to kill me?' Selena calmly thought. Her life of struggles was not in vain. She learned to be patient and not panic over such things. Although, it did make her emotionally distant with people. Was this the reason why Grant left her? But Grant and Patricia were the few people who she opened up to. She truly liked Grant and considered Patricia a good friend. Was she not good enough? The thought brought her mood down even more.

But more importantly, someone was trying to hurt her. She was pretty sure it wasn't Grant or Patricia. It was suddenly decided that she would join the party and the bangle was something that was gifted to her by an unknown person. The only thing she knew about the bangle was that a maid brought it over and claimed it was a part of the gifts to the Booker family which they received from merchants or other Aristocrats to butter them up. Her Father decided to split the gifts among his family. Hence, Selena ended up with the bangle.

'It seems like I have to investigate this more when I go back. Meanwhile...' She looked at her hand again. The ring given by Bishop Brian was still on her finger.

'Just what the hell is this voice?' She pondered. The Bishop told her that it was the voice of the devil and it was trying to hurt her. But contrary to that, the voice saved her when she was about to kill herself. Not only that, it realized that the bangle was dangerous and asked her to throw it away which she did and it helped her avoid a potentially serious injury.
