The Retribution of the Ice Cold Maiden

10-Broken? What do you mean it's broken?

"You... You... You demoness...!!" The Baron splurted these words as he was filled with Anger, Pain, Fear, and Shame. He stumbled from his and fell on the ground. It was an unsightly thing to see a middle-aged man on the ground shivering in front of a 16-year old girl.

Nicholas was fully seated on the Sofa, stunned by the sight. It was one thing to berate the other party, but to assault him, that too, a Baron? It is a major crime, even for a daughter of a Marquis. He was really wishing he hadn't gotten out of bed today. How was he going to explain these things to the Marquis?

While all of this was going on, Selena was calm. She knew what she was doing and was in full control of the situation. She leaned towards the Baron and spoke to him who immediately scuttled back a few feet.

"You may leave now..."

"Leave...!?" The Baron was frozen in place. What is going on? According to Grant, Selena seldom stood up for herself. That is why Grant said she was meek and mild-mannered. Not to mention, she was not highly regarded in her own home by her own people, so she dared not do anything dangerous. Is this the same woman before him that Grant mentioned? Mild-mannered? A Tigress is more mild-mannered compared to this demoness. If this is a meek person then we might as well be all meek. He just wanted Selena to make a fool of herself so he could use it as proof. Who knew the girl was a full head-on psycho.

However, to the Baron, this was also a blessing in disguise. He recorded everything that Selena did, even the cup throwing. After the Baron left, Nicholas finally reacted as panic and fear set in.

But contrary to what he expected, Selena calmly looked at the broken cup pieces, clapped once to summon the Head butler and said,

"Clean this up. This is the Marquis's manor. How dare the Baron smash this cup in anger when I rejected his offer to take all the blame for the incident."

The Head Butler's eyes shot up. 'The Baron tried threatening the young lady to take all the blame? I must inform the Marquis as soon as he returned.'

Nicholas almost fell over. 'Who smashed the cup? How could she lie so blatantly? Does this also mean that the Baron scratched his own face? Was everything I saw today was just a dream? Because, honestly, that would explain a lot and I would like to wake up now please.'

"By the end of the day, Baron Turner would be bowing before our Father begging for forgiveness." Selena proclaimed as she walked out of the room.

Nicholas was stunned by those words. During the entire conversation, it did not look like the Baron was meek or kind. How is it possible that he will bow to Father after going as far as to make a deal with Selena and he also had the support of Marquis Johnson?

He put those thoughts to the back of the head and rushed out to find his Father. He knew the seriousness of the situation and he must report to his Father as soon as possible.
