today's my date with this guy i met online. he's very secretive so i'm excited to meet him face to face. i look at the time and freak out. i only have 30 minutes to get dressed and meet him at this cute restaurant near the beach.
i run a brush through my hair and quickly put on some makeup. i pull on my romper and sandals and grab my purse and i'm out of the door. when i reach the restaurant, the waitress asks me my name and then ushers me over to a table where a seemingly attractive guy with curly brown hair is seated. i sit on the seat in front of him, look up and freeze. "J-Joel?" i look into the eyes of my best friend.
"Hi Kara" he says looking unfazed.
"How-what-i-you-what the fuck?" i manage to stutter out.
"I like you , K, isn't it obvious?" he gives me a smile that gives me tingles inside

i'm not gonna deny my crush on joel. i've crushed on him ever since he decided to grow his hair out. he's such a nice guy and i decide to let the date go it's path.

we eat our food and talk about random stuff. it feels awkward at first but then we crack lame jokes and make each other laugh.
after we've split the bill, he grabs my hand. "walk with me"
we walk along the shoreline and stop to admire the view.
"omg this is beautiful!!" i squeal, being a photographer.
"just like you" joel tucks a stray tendril of hair behind my ear and before i can say anything his lips connect with mine.
i'm stunned at first but then i relax into the kiss
when we pull up for air, he smirks
"so, second date?" he asks cheekily.
"we'll see" i tap his cheek and pull him in for another kiss
