The journey passed in silence. Both of them were deep into their own problems. They drove to the hospitals driveway.
She spotted the security guard that waved her to roll down the window.
“You cannot park here,” he stiffly said.
“He is hurt. He fell on the pavement. I think it could be a concussion,” she simply replied and pointed to the old man that was just sitting and gazing out the window and he looked confused.
“Wait here. I’ll send someone with the wheelchair.”
He murmured something into his walkie-talkie, then he turned back to Anna:
“He’ll be here in a moment.”
After just a few minutes the nice looking young man in the blue robe that was pushing wheelchair appeared.
“Where is our patient?” he asked.
He didn’t wait for an answer. Instead he walked around car to the co-driver’s seat. He opened the door and helped the old man to the wheelchair. All the time he was doing that he was cheerfully whistling. When he drove the old man by Anna he winked and said:
“You can find him in dr. Brumm’s office, room 117.”
Before she could open her mouth they disappeared through the doors into the large building.
“You can park your car behind the building,” said the guard now with a bit friendlier voice.
