The Headmaster looked me straight in the eye and nodded for me to sit down, for which I did.
"I'm going straight to the point Layla" he said, making the hair on my back stand. It was like a spark went off when he said my name. My real name. He must've seen my reaction because he grinned. I sat up tall, letting my dominance stand.
"Layla, did you have guardians after being placed in the orphanage darling?" he said, smirking. By this point, Jessica was in silent tears, her hair covering most of her face.
"I had one. She was a younger woman but I kept on being the" bad girl" and she put me back in 3 weeks. But this was a  long time ago. I must've been around 6 or 7 at the time " I answered, looking confused.
"Jessica, look her in the eye and tell her, it'll be fun looking at you in pain" said the Headmaster. Jessica looked me dead in the eye.
"Harley, I mean Layla, I'm sorry but I'm -" she started but hot interrupted by her own sobbs.
"I guess I'll tell her then. Don't say you didn't get a chance" the Headmaster smirked. I looked at him on anger but something familiar about him.
"Well, Layla, your quite special you see. Not because you were the only Talker, but because your my, and Jessica's daughter" he said. I was frozen in place, I looked at Jessica but she was just looking at me with worry in her eyes. Was this true? And if it was, why didn't I grow up here? I'm not saying I'm wishing to grow up in a mad house but this wasn't making any sense.
"Tell her the story Jessica but don't leave any details out. Tell her what I did to you. Tell her everything" said the Headmaster, my father. Or was he? I looked hopelessly at Jessica. But she sighed. Oh my god.
