Pounding.
My chest pounded with the bass.
Whose fucking house is this?
"WHAT!" Honey yelled.
I must've said that out loud.
"WHOSE HOUSE IS THIS!?"
Honey bobbed her head with the rhythm. Her eyes lit up and she searched around the room. She was no doubt searching for excitement.
"IT'S DRAVEN'S. I DON'T SEE HIM ANYWHERE THOUGH!"
Draven Stone.
I didn't really know Draven. We all went to high school together, but he was 3 years ahead of me.
I only had two classes with him now. He hardly showed up though. A part of me wondered if Draven was even still enrolled.
I nodded in response. The party was living up to the hype. Bodies were everywhere.
Grinding, grabbing, kissing, and loving.
Honey pulled me out of my daze and into the kitchen. One big ass kitchen. Draven obviously was loaded.
I guess I wouldn't give a damn about school either.
"What are we doing in here Chy?"
"Sean texted me to wait here, he invited Vincent." Honey threw me a wink and I rolled my eyes.
Vincent Holmes is Sean's best friend. Apparently he's had a crush on me since Honey and I were juniors in high school. I wasn't interested though.
It was something about Vincent that didn't pull me towards him.
Something that I craved that he couldn't give.
"Ladies! Sean and Vin have arrived."
Honey's cheeks expanded with a smile and she leaped into Sean's arms. "It's good to see you too baby girl." Sean said with a low chuckle. "Hey Zora. How are you?" I gave Sean a friendly smile.
"I've been well. You know how it is dealing with Honey. You?"
"Hey!" Honey snapped.
I laughed and Honey playfully punched me. Sean joined in on the laughter. "I hear that. I've been well, working and sleeping. I brought Vin with me."
I'm well aware. I was just hoping maybe you didn't.
"Hello Vincent." I said with a smile. Vincent smiled back. "Hey Azora, long time no see. It's good to see you."
"Likewise."
We all stood in silence for what felt like hours, but it was only seconds and Sean decided to break the ice. "Drinks anyone?"
"I'll have a martini!" Honey exclaimed.
Honey was like a child on Christmas when Sean came around. She was no doubt in love. Sean rocked her world, and she let him.
I was happy for her. Everyone needs their world rocked.
"I'm driving." I said. I held up my keys and jangled them. Vincent laughed.
"You're scared of one drink Zor? We've got all night. You'll sober up."
Did I mention how much I really didn't like Vincent? Maybe it was the fact that he always tried a little too hard. You wouldn't always notice it, but I did.
