"I KNEW FROM THE BEGGINING." Ray answers. "I knew six years ago," Rosemary replies quietly. "Ray, what do you mean from the beginning?" Emma asks.
"Do you three know about childhood amnesia?" Ray asks as the two shake their heads. "I know, " Rosemary says, slightly raising her hand. "People naturally forget all of their memories from when they were infants until they were toddlers. That's childhood amnesia."
"Correct. But apparently, there are incredibly rare cases where this phenomenon doesn't happen to some people." Ray said. The three finally registered what he wanted to say, he was one of those rare cases.
"I still remember things back from when I was an infant." He continued to tell them about his memories as an infant, a toddler, and when he made a deal with mama. It was all hard to swallow in. Rosemary can't help but feel bad for him for enduring this since, since forever.
"How about you, Ro?" Ray asked. "It's not that interesting but, I'll tell you. It started when we were five, I just learned how to read so, I wanted to learn how to read more. Have you heard of William Minerva?" Ro asks them as they nodded.
"Yes, so I came across one of his books and I liked it so much, that I just had to look at the last few pages. And that's when I came across a morse code. I knew it was a morse code, but I didn't know what the alphabets were, so I asked Ray where to study morse codes and he gave me a small book about it." She explained.
"And that's when I saw the word danger. It frightened me because that word was worded as a morse code. Something that's supposed to be hidden and not seen. So I looked for the other words then went beyond the fence, to see a tall wall. On that same day, Eri-- do you remember her? She was going to get shipped. I got curious so I sneaked out, I didn't get to see her body but I heard the monsters, talking about it."
Rosemary explained. She stayed still for a moment before shrugging, "yeah that's it."
"That's it?! Ro, you've held this all by yourself for six years!" Norman protested. "I wasn't alone. I figured that Ray also knew but I didn't know what role he played." Rosemary tells him.
"Anyways, I'm sure you guys picked up from Ray's story just now. That there are five separate branches and the headquarters." Rosemary says.
"Crossing that gate won't get us any freedom," Ray told, "as soon as we emerge on the other side, we'll be greeted by countless adults and demons."
"We've gone off on a tangent, but back to the topic. Either way, you have no need to get freaked out. Just disable your tracker and hide yourself withing the forest. Use this." Ray tossed an item to Norman, some milk and can.
He gave us some instructions on how to use it, making me interested in how it was built. He explained some parts of the plan and also the fact that Don and Gilda are making the ropes.
"We won't let you two die. Let's all escape this place together."
"Listen up children, we've got fantastic news. We've found Norman and Rosemary a lovely couple willing to adopt them both. It's all very sudden, but they'll be leaving tomorrow." Isabella announces to the children, making gasp.
