ROSEMARY SAT IN the dining hall thinking. Alone with herself and her thoughts. It was always like this. She had no one to talk to, her conscious seemingly the one thing having a conversation to. But she remembered that, she wasn't alone. Not anymore.
The end of her lips tugged into a smile, a small yet genuine one. She thought about her family and how none was harmed, ( with the exception of their ears ) and she was glad about that.
Her mind also wandered to Norman. She wondered what would he do if he was still alive, he probably deserved to live instead of her anyway. She chuckled at that thought, she always seemed to lose confidence in herself, one thing she isn't proud of.
Footsteps clanked against the floor as a figure appeared at the door. "Ro? You're up early." Ray walked to her as he flicked the lights open. "What're you doing so up early and in the dark? You should get rest ya know."
Rosemary bit her lower lip as she fiddled with her fingers. "Dunno. Probably a force of habit from the month I spent outside." She shrugged.
Ray sighed momentarily as he pulled out a chair and sat next to her. "You weren't like yourself back there." He commented, glancing over to the confused girl.
"What're you talking about?"
Ray's lips pulled into a thin line, "I'm guessing it's likely because of the spur of the moment, or cause you were sleep-deprived, but you were oddly confident." He replied, looking over to Rosemary who was slightly offended by his answer.
"Ah-- it's not like it's a bad thing. Cause it's really not, but it wasn't like you. Usually you would avoid speaking but when you did, you didn't stutter once. I'm proud of you for that, just wondering what made you do that." He looked away from her.
Rosemary thought about it. Why did she do that? Why did she suddenly come off as confident? Calling the stranger old man, surely if she did that before, she'd be sputtering out apologies. She didn't know him, yet she felt the need to stop anyone who dares to talk to her family like that.
"Maybe I was just tired. Tired of trying to hide, tired of making a fool out of myself, tired of people who doesn't care. I'm tired of everything." Her voice was barely above a whisper, though Ray had caught on to what she said.
"Or, maybe because of the lack of trust I have in humans. Don't get me wrong, I hate the demons for killing children, I will always despise them for that. But it has got me thinking, what did they do wrong? What was the difference between us humans and demons? Why should we expect the demons to sympathise us, humans, when they need to eat-- when we ourselves don't bat an eyelash when we slaughter life for ourselves to eat?
Maybe this world we live in is just messed up. Maybe it would've been different if our ancestors have done differently. Maybe we would've lived our lives normally, be the innocent pure kids we were supposed to be.
Maybe all these thoughts are the reason why I acted like that. Why I'm not afraid anymore. Why I'm not afraid to risk my life for you guys--
I'm just tired."
Ray gulped as he looked at Rosemary, she had indeed grown over the last two months he has last seen her. The phase she had gone through changed her, healed her in some way.
It just upsets him a little that she had to go through a lot, just for her to grow and see the world differently.

This chapter is just a filler lmaoo
Rosemary's point of view is honestly what I felt reading the manga. Though it's not like I had to go through a life or death situation to learn about this nahhh.
I've just finished this fanfic that is really well written, so I decided to give Ro a lil character development anddddd her point of view on things since I suck at writing at 1st point of view.
Or maybe I just suck at writing in general hA--
Didn't see that many updates amiryt
That was like, a lot. Well, I owe it since I haven't poster one in forever??? But now y'all have to wait for a long time til the next update hYA
