Forget Me

Adam leades me into a room with a huge canopy in the middle.
"This is your room. You need to rest?"
"No, I'm fine."
"Okay, then come with me."
We walk through his house to the kitchen. When we get into the kitchen, he walks over to the island in the middle and pulls out a stool.
"Sit. You need to eat," he says, looking sternly at me.
"Okay, what am I going to eat then?"
"I don't know, what do you want?"
"Anything food would be fine, thanks," I say, looking around the kitchen. He has the nicest appliances I've ever seen. He takes out a microwave burrito from the fridge.
"Is this fine?"
"Yeah. Can you not cook?"
He blushes a bit and looks at the ground.
"No, my dad always used to cook for me. After he passed, I never really got good at it. I've tried before, almost burned the house down."
He chuckles and puts the buritto in the microwave.
"I'm pretty good at cooking. Next meal I'm cooking. I can make a mean lasagna."
"My house, I make the meals."
"I insist. If I get to stay here, I get to cook at least twice a week!" I say, standing up from my stool.
"Okay then, whatever makes you happy then."
The microwave beeps and he takes the buritto out and hands it to me on a plate.
"Bon Appetite!" He says in a French accent.
After I eat, he takes me into the living room and sits me down to watch TV. We watch Netflix for a while, and then he gets bored.
"What do you want to do now?" He asks, looking over at me.
"How about we-" Before I could finish, his phones starts to ring.
"Hold that thought," he says as he answers the phone.
When he hangs up, he looks over at me again.
"Change of plans. That was Brandon, one of our friends. He wants to go to the beach with some of our other friends. Grab a swimsuit," he says, getting up and leaving the room.
I walk into my room and open the closet. Wow, there are a lot of clothes in here.
I open a drawer and pull out a red bikini.
Perfect.
