~ A Word Of Advice, Don't Die ~

Malia POV

I woke up next to a still asleep Sarah, after I had checked John B was okay I went home with Sarah so I could avoid JJ. The sound of gun shots kept ringing through my head and at how close the gun was to me when JJ turned around. Why the fuck did he keep the gun. I quietly got out of bed and got out of the clothes Sarah let me borrow, I softly shook her and whispered 'thank you for letting me stay, see you later' she smiled and groggily replied 'no problem you're always welcome' and with that I headed home.

As I arrived home I saw Peterkin come out my house 'morning Peterkin' I greeted and she smiled 'Morning Sweetie, I just had a chat with your brother you might wanna go talk' I nodded and waved goodbye. I ran inside and quickly gave Johnny a massive hug 'oh my god are you okay, I would've stayed but everything was so crazy and Sarah said I could stay at hers and i...' I rushed out as I checked him to make sure he was okay 'Marley, Marley I'm fine and I'm just glad you're safe' I sighed and hugged him again. He filled me in with what Peterkin said and I flopped on the couch in thought.

Later when everyone was at ours, Ki was playing the Bongos and I strummed a ukulele whilst humming 'can't help falling in love'. 'look I'm calling it off alright? Peterkin said if we stay out of the marsh she will help us with the DCS' said John B as he came outside to join us, 'And you believed an actual cop John B' JJ said sarcastically, 'I Believe her' I said bluntly staring at JJ who looked at me with a mix of sadness and annoyance.

'Look all we have to do is stay out of the marsh for a couple of days and she will help us out, and It doesn't help your ass was the one shooting the gun.' Said John B, throwing down the broom in his hand. JJ and John B argued for a while and I wasn't really listening until I heard my name.

'Come on Lia, you know they only want us out of there because there is something valuable down there' I looked at JJ as he spoke and sighed 'so what, I'd rather get out of foster care then look at the stupid wreck' I said standing up. 'I understand why you don't wanna go Pope, you're the golden boy. And you Ki you're already rich as fuck anyway. But us three we got nothing to loose' JJ said and I sighed.

3rd person POV

Marley agreed to go with everyone to look for the wreck. Whilst John B was setting up the gear Marley once again tried to convince him to let her do it and she got shut down again. She grew nervous for her brother knowing that if either of them were caught they would be sent straight into foster care. 'you need to make your safety stop at about 10 feet' hearing this Marley took of her shirt and jumped into the marsh. 'what was that about' said Pope, 'I don't know but I liked it a lot' said JJ smirking to which John B slapped his head and glared at him, Pope balled his hands into fists hearing JJ's comment.

Malia soon resurfaced and got back onto the boat 'I tied it about 10 feet down so you know when to stop, a word of advice, don't die' Marley said as I patted John B on the cheek. Malia got back on as Ki kissed John B on the cheek and everyone just started at one another in shock.

Malia POV

John B had just gone down and we chatted for a while, I continued to ignore JJ and sat with Pope leaning my head on his shoulder. After a while we saw a boat and realised it was the cops, 'shit, they can't see me here they will tell the DCS' I said panicked as I dived off the boat and swam down to hold onto the anchor rope, I saw John B and stopped at my t-shirt with him. He looked at me confused and I pointed up at the other boat. After a while it still wasn't gone and John B had just run out of air and I couldn't hold my breath much longer.

Finally the boat left and me and Johnny swam up to the surface, I instantly started coughing and heavily breathing before I calmed down once I was back on the boat. Pope ran over to me as the others helped John B 'are you okay?' he said checking my face, 'yeah I'm good' I said with a smile.  'hey guys, bogey 2 o'clock' said Ki as we all looked to see a random boat heading towards us 'I've never seen that boat' I said putting my jean shorts on as well as pope's shirt he so kindly offered me.

'yeah, lets not wait and find out who it is' Pope said as JJ went to get the anchor, 'seriously hurry up, go go' said John B hurrying pope to drive us into the marsh. I panicked as they followed us around the marsh, suddenly I heard a gunshot 'shit, get down' I said grabbing JJ and pulling him onto the ground with me. 'omg we're going to die' Pope said as he fell on the boat floor, 'shut the hell up' Ki said as she tried to get John B down. I had an idea and stood up 'Malia Get down now' John B yelled worried and I grabbed the net on the back of the boat before I threw it in the marsh and watched the boat behind us get caught up in it and stopped. I sighed in relief as I got crushed into a hug by everyone.

when we got back to the dock, everyone instantly ran around John B who was opening the bag . 'oh wow that's about right, good job everybody we found a compass' said pope annoyed 'dude come on, its not worth anything' said JJ, I spoke up for the first time and everyone looked at me  'that was our dad's'.
