- (Y/N)'s POV -
These past couple months have been crazy. We went from killing bandits to defeating Lord Lonato to finding out our Professor can wield the Sword of the Creator.
When I look back at it now, I realize that I can't always rely on Edelgard. Sure, us teaming up makes us impossible to beat, but I can't help but know that she isn't always going to be there. I need to protect her too.
So here I am, minding my own business. Reading up on techniques and performing them on a dummy, sometimes with Caspar. This one technique that I found recently really interesting is where I can disarm an enemy at close range. Believing this could be incredibly useful, I called up Caspar today and tested it on him a couple times. It worked for the most part.
Now that I am done studying a little bit, we had a few sparring matches. I won't lie, I admire Caspar's tenacity of never giving up. Sometimes it gets me to yield because he just won't give up, just like now.
Caspar: "(Y/N), why do you always give up when we fight sometimes? Every time you've lost against me, its only when you scream out that you give up or something. It gets really annoying because I can't count that as a legit win."
Me: "Well Caspar, it's because of two reasons. You never give up even though you are in a beaten state, and sometimes I fear that I actually might lose."
The mention of me losing sets a fire in Caspar's eyes... which further proves my point.
Caspar: "Alright then! When were those times that I was going to win??"
I smile and lay my training sword on my shoulder.
Me: "Ha, nice try. You're never going to find out." He frowns. "How about one more round then? This should motivate you to win one."
Caspar: "You're on!"
I won't lie, I won quite easily. I noticed that Caspar got cocky and that was his downfall.
He lays down on the ground out of breath as I swung my sword around in the air.
Caspar: "Whaaat? Were you going easy on me earlier?"
Me: "Maybe."
I stop swinging my sword to help Caspar get up from the ground and notice Seteth coming into the training room. He spots me and stomps towards me with a worried look.
Me: "What's up Seteth?"
Seteth: "We have a serious problem, Lady Rhea wants an audience with you. Come quick!"
Me: "Okay..? I guess see you Caspar?"
Caspar: "Yeah see you! I'll be here just training for our next session."
With that settled, Seteth and I rushed to Lady Rhea. This must be quite important if Seteth is running as I've never seen him run before. As we enter, we go up to the third floor and towards a certain room at the end of the hall.
Before we entered, Seteth grabs my shoulder to make me face him.
Seteth: "This is Lady Rhea's room. She wanted to speak to you in there, know that this is only a special occasion and you may not ever come here otherwise. Anyways, I will be on my way. Please knock before you enter."
Seteth leaves me and I look at Lady Rhea's door. I get closer to it and I knock twice. I hear her from inside telling me to come in. I open the door and I am greeted by Lady Rhea standing there staring out her window.
Me: "Lady Rhea, you called for me?"
Rhea: "Yes and its some terrible news."
Me: "What happened?"
