(Told from Hermione's point of view)

I wasn't even aware Loki was here.

Me and Ron and everyone knew perfectly well what had happened to Harry, but somebody had failed to mention that the same thing happened to Loki too. I think most people forget that he also witnessed Voldemort return.

Sure, when Harry entered the room, he looked tense, and slightly worried, but we ignored that. He got really angry, started shouting at us for not telling him anything, and we tried to explain to him why, but he didn't seem to want to take that explanation. I didn't really blame him. He did have a right to know.

But in all of that, I forgot to ask him anything about the way over here. He didn't even mention Loki as we talked to him. We were too busy trying to catch him up on everything that we didn't ask him anything. Besides, it's not like he wanted to talk about what happened while he was with the Muggles anyway.

I had begun to explain what the daily prophet was doing, when he began to look slightly worried. I continued to go into the hearing, and how Harry really had no chance of winning the case based on the lies that they've been spouting, when I slowed down and stopped speaking as I noticed that Harry was looking rather worried.

There was a bit of silence. Ginny and the twins were in the room too-- they had come in not too long after Harry started shouting.

"I have no chance of getting out of that hearing." Harry sighed. "Absolutely none."

"Oh, come on, it's not hopeless!" I said hopefully. "I mean, there has to be someone at the ministry who has some sense..."

"You just said there isn't a sane head in the Ministry." Harry spat. "How the hell am I going to win that trial? Especially not with that jackass on my tail."

"You've got to have-- wait, who?" I had nearly missed the last sentence.

Harry buried his face in his hands, and laid down on the bed. "Laufeyson." the way he said the name was rather cold and condescending.

"Ooh." the twins muttered. Everyone else was pretty silent.

"Wait, what about him tailing you?" Ron asked.

"He's going to the same hearing as me." Harry muttered. "The dementors came after him too. I don't know what he was doing. Apparently he didn't have anyone looking out for him, not like I did, but he said he was... I dunno, down here, or something. And they came after him too."

I pursed my lips as I sat down onto another bed. "Occasionally I'll see his name in the Prophet too. Not nearly as frequent as yours, but thrown in. Kind of as a joke."

"He's not going to like that."

"I know." I sighed. "This isn't very good."

"You don't say." Harry spoke dejectedly. "I'll tell you something else about that asshole; he told me as we were walking up these stairs that he was going to try to join the Order of the Phoenix."

At this, the people in the room made different reactions. Ron stared, dumbfounded, at Harry. Ginny gasped, and whispered, "what the hell..." Fred and George broke into protests.

"I KNOW." Harry growled, getting to his elbows. "And considering that he hasn't returned yet, I'd say he got in."

Ron scoffs. "I swear, the next time I see--"

There's a knock on the door. Everybody goes silent.

"We're not taking any chances in case it's mom." Fred says before there's a loud crack and they disappear.
