I let you in-

To my already twisted world.

I let you pull me out-

From my misery and grief.

You brought colour,

To my darkened life.

You brought a smile on my face,

When I thought I would never smile.

You held me,

Comforted me,

And protected me-

From this harsh and cruel world.

I was happy,

And beginning to heal.

My pain was fading-

Into nothingness.

Then all of a sudden,

You did what everyone else did,

Confirming my doubt and fear-

I wasn't enough!

You left me-

Just like them.

Now I'm nothing but an empty shell.

I long to feel the pain

But it isn't there

Also there's no other emotion left.

I'm just a dying soul,

Waiting to fade-

And to never return...
