Affection

It was a typical Tuesday night, me in my home office working on some paperworks, when my girlfriend for a year showed up, leaning by the door, looking beautiful as ever.

"Not heading to bed?" she asks, crossing her arms, I looked her in the eyes, getting lost in them momentarily, I looked down at my work.

"No, but I'll be done in a minute then I'll join you." she sighed, making me look at her again.

"What's wrong?" she looked at the floor, mumbling words I couldn't hear.

"What was that?" I asked again. She shakes her head.

"Never mind, good night." then turned to head somewhere.

Great *sigh* I need a break, this can wait. There are more important things, like a certain raven haired, emerald eyed beauty.

I cleaned my desk, and headed to our shared bed room, seeing the said beauty absorbed on her phone, laying down on her stomach. I head to the bathroom and did my nightly routine, by the time I was done, Lauren was already asleep or at least that's what I thought.

I turned off the lights, but turned on the lamp beside me. I just read over some things on my phone, mainly just emails when I hear a small sniffle, making me freeze and look over to her laying figure.

"Lo? What's wrong?" I asked, putting my phone away, moving closer to her body turned away from me. I just see her shake head again.

"Lauren, please talk to me. I'll do anything to make it better." I said, gently placing my hand on her shoulder, slowly making her face me. The image I see, breaks my heart.

"Hey, what's wrong? Hmm" I say softly.

"I-i just m-miss you and-" she continued crying, covering her face.

"Shhh okay, okay. Tell me how I can make it better, I mean I have some ideas but I wanna hear from you first." I say, as I pulled her to me, hugging her.

"W-well, I don't wanna be needy and ask for constant attention from you and keep you from work." I chuckled and said

"You'll never, never going to be come off as needy. And I'm sorry, I'm not really a touchy person, it's been that way and I didn't realize soon enough that, that's what you wanted." she looked up at me, sniffing her nose as I wiped her tears away gently.

"I'll make time for you, okay Lo? And I'll try to be more vocal of my affections." she nodded and nuzzled her head on my neck.

"Okay" she said in a whisper.

"I know I don't say this quite often as I should but, I love you" she whimpered and I pulled away slightly and kissed her forehead. "I love you so much, you have my whole heart."

She hugged me tighter "I love you too." we slowly drifted off to sleep, still holding onto each other.

Just felt inspired one night, well more like at the crack of dawn, and decided to write my beautiful green eyed goddess some imagines.
