Episode five: The Proposal

Cindy's POV

  There was at lot of chattering around, I was sitting at the University's canteen all bored.
Then I heard a wild screaming.

"The elective course  exam timetable is out for all levels and in all departments... "

Urgh...
I groaned.

  I always like to be the first around the announcement board under art faculty. You can imagine just how crowded the place would be. Immediately, I began to run towards my faculty.
  A few others joined as well.

Running...
My chest leaping...

I suddenly look by my right.

I saw him again.
My heart somesulted.

He wasn't smiling today.

My pace reduced.
He was with some guys, I couldn't catch the expression on his face but I could likely guess he wasn't happy. Suddenly he looked up, I almost halt.

He looked directly into my eyes, I don't know how but I suddenly got energized and immediately speed off.

I could already see the gathering ahead, I stopped to breathe.
"That was close!" I murmured catching my breath.

"What was close?!"
I heard a voice said behind, I almost jumped. Clutching my hand to my chest in realization

"Sham?!"

"Did I scared you?" He said smiling.

" Like ambulance...
You almost gave me a heartattack!" She said alittle bit dramatic.
They laughed.

By the end of her second class she received a phone call.
  "Hello ma'am?"

"Hello Cindy
Are you in the class right now?!"

" No ma'am
I just finished -"

" Good.
I'll be sending a driver to come pick you up."

"But ma'am -"

" No room for buts young lady
You better wind up your ass wherever you are to the gate immediately." The line cuts.

  She couldn't bare to look at the four eyes looking curiously at her.
  "Sorry guys
I wouldn't be able to make it.
Please help me come with an excuse to Big Daddy G. "

She gave an apologitic look to Sham, Andrew, Betty and John.

"See you around pie." Said Sham side hugging her, she waved at the others before leaving.

Somewhere in Manila.

"Miguel.
Were you able to get the B&K corperation to sign?"

" Yes sir.
Infact, they're more than happy to work with you sir." He answered smiling.

" How about the company rating?!"

"So far we are still among the top ten highest in the entire Asia and the first in Philippines. Our rivalries such as  Glamour & shine accessories, the BUK cosmetics and LSK furniture design designing firm are quite trying to meet up with us but compared to them, we have the highest shares which takes them behind us."

" Tsk. Tsk. Tsk...
These people will never stop trying." The elderly looking man shook his head.

" We will continue to strive for the best." He added.

"Definitely sir." Replied Miguel, arranging some documents.

" Boy! You are always working hard. I like you son."
