Hero- Halloween

Beth's POV
So today is 31st October 2020 aka Halloween and me and Hero decide to go to the supermarket to go and get a pumpkin (or two) to carve and put in the window of our apartment. It's my day off work today as well so I'm glad that we can do this. If we end up buying two pumpkins we can have a competition deciding whose pumpkin is better. But then again it might be easier and less messy if we just get one pumpkin as I don't like cleaning up all the pumpkin guts after carving one.

"What size pumpkin do you wanna get baby?" I said to him. "I'm not sure baby. We don't wanna get one too small coz we wanna be able to carve something into it so maybe like a medium size one." He said to me. "Sounds good to me. I see a perfectly good sized one to get." I said after spotting the best pumpkin for us to carve tonight. "Shall we get some snacks for when we watch a movie or two tonight coz I doubt we will have any trick or treaters come to the apartment but we could get some sweets to put in a bowl just in case we do get any and if we don't, then we can just eat the sweets all to ourselves?" He asked me.

"Yeah baby. Let's get some movie snacks and some sweets just in case we get any trick or treaters." I said to him. Once we got everything that we needed we went and paid for it all and then headed back to our apartment to have a bit of a rest before carving our pumpkin. We don't wanna leave it too late to carve it so we decide to have a few hours to ourselves when we get back home to have lunch and just have a bit of a nap and then we can carve the pumpkin.

During the time that we have to ourselves before we carve our pumpkin, Hero and I run through lines for his new movie called After. I only help him by reading anything to do with any of the characters that his character for the film interacts with just so that it helps him when it comes to him having to actually go on set. It's going to be hard to see him be so intimate with another woman that isn't me but I trust him 100% because if I didn't trust him then we wouldn't have much of a relationship plus it's only a movie.

When it was time to carve the pumpkin we decided to just keep it nice and simple because neither of us is very artistic and then we put a candle inside it before putting it in the window in our living room. We decide to watch two movies throughout the rest of the day. We watch Hocus Pocus first because that is one film that you kind of have to watch on Halloween and then we watch Beetlejuice even though that's not really a Halloween film but it's one that we both like to watch as we both think that Michael Keaton is awesome as Beetlejuice.

We have a few trick or treaters throughout the night but we still had a fair amount of sweets left in the bowl that we put out for the trick or treaters so we decided to just keep whatever was left for ourselves. We've had a fun day though even though some people have gone to Halloween parties and things like that, we just wanted to stay in and carve a pumpkin while watching films and eating snacks.
