Hero- My Birthday

Hero's POV
It's a week until my gorgeous girlfriend Beth's birthday which happens to be on 25th March 2020 where she turns 25 years old and I still haven't got her a present because I don't know what to get her. She's a difficult person to buy for. She's currently at work so I'll either look on the internet for ideas based on things that she likes or I could message her friends for any ideas. She's on a late shift at work so she won't be back until later tonight which gives me plenty of time to try and find a present for her. We've been together for 3 years and we have our own apartment.

After looking on the internet for about an hour, I can't find anything that I think that she'll love so I decide to message her friend Sophie to see if she's got any ideas. H: Hey Soph, Beth's birthday is next week and I still haven't got her a present because I don't know what to get her. Can you help me out? S: Hey Hero, sure I'll happily give you ideas. I think you should make it memorable for her. You've been together for 3 years so I'm surprised you haven't thought about proposing to her yet. I'd say get her some jewellery aka a ring, if you catch my drift, unless you don't love her enough to want to marry her. H: I do love her enough to do that if that's what she really wants but I'm just worried about how we're going to cope because of me constantly travelling everywhere for all the different acting jobs that I'm in.

S: Hero, she will be with you wherever you go in the world for your work. It's clear that she loves you and wants to spend the rest of her life with you, you just need to show her that's what you want too. H: I do want that more than anything so I think I will get her a ring and I will propose to her and make it special for her birthday and maybe book a trip somewhere special to do it. Thank you for the idea, Soph. See you later. S: No problem, Hero. Happy to help and can't wait to hear all about it. Bye.

Right, now that Sophie's helped me with the idea of what to get Beth for her birthday I can go to the jewellers tomorrow to get her a ring but as of this minute before she comes home I'm going to book us a trip to Los Angeles to make the proposal more special for her.

The trip is all booked and we're heading there a couple of days before her birthday. I hear the door of our apartment unlock and hear my girl walk through the door. "Baby, I'm home. I've had such a long day at work. I could do with a massage if that's ok?" She said as she walked into the living room. She works at the Disney Store in Birmingham which is the city that we live in. "Of course, baby. Take a seat on the sofa next to me with your back facing me and I'll give you a massage. Was it a good day or a bad day baby?" I said to her. "It was quite good baby, just a long day due to being there late. This massage is really helping me. Thank you so much baby." She said.

The next day when Beth is off work, I send her out of the apartment to go out with Sophie to have a day of pampering so that I can call her work to arrange for her to have some time off so that we can go to LA for her birthday. Luckily enough, they are absolutely fine with it and I make sure to ask them to keep it from her as it's a surprise and they agree to do it for me and plus Beth is one of their best employees.

Three days before Beth's birthday:
Me and Beth are at home just chilling watching TV on the sofa when I say to her, "Baby, close your eyes and hold out your hands because I've got a surprise for you that's an early birthday present." "Okay baby. I can't wait to see what you've got me." She said to me. I place the plane tickets in her hands. "You can open your eyes, baby." I said to her. "Oh my god! Baby, you got us tickets to LA? When are we going? Is that why work have given me the whole week off? You got in contact with them didn't you to keep this a surprise for me?" She's so happy about this present. I can't wait to see how she's going to react with the present I'm going to give her on her actual birthday in LA.

"Yeah I did baby. We're leaving tomorrow for a whole week so we better get packing. I did call work to arrange all of this for you as well baby coz I wanted to make sure you had the best birthday ever." I said to her. We get into our room and started packing ready to leave in the morning to go to the airport.

Two days before Beth's birthday:
We've arrived at the airport ready to go through a very long flight to LA. Luckily enough we've got movies to keep us occupied on the plane as well as trying to catch up on some sleep because it's going to be late by the time we land and get to our hotel. I knew that Beth wasn't going to like the food on the plane so we made sure to eat in the airport and get food for us to eat on the plane.

Once we landed in LA we went to find a taxi to take us to our hotel. It was quite late and my girl was tired after not getting much sleep on the plane so she fell asleep in the taxi on the way to the hotel. Once we got to the hotel, I woke her up to tell her that we're there. We got out of the taxi and checked into our hotel and got settled into our hotel room. When we unpacked our cases, we just got into our bed in the hotel room and went to sleep because we had a very long journey to get here.

The day before Beth's birthday:
I left my girl asleep in bed and went down to the hotel reception to have a word with them about making her birthday special for her tomorrow morning and they agreed to do it. I can't wait to see her face in the morning as well as what I'm gonna surprise her with as her actual birthday present. After I had spoken to the staff at the reception desk I went back up to the room to find her still sleeping so I got back in the bed to join her and we just stayed in bed all day trying to catch up on sleep and watch TV so that we're well rested for tomorrow.

Beth's birthday:
Today is my beautiful girl's birthday and it couldn't have been in a better place than LA. I ordered a room service breakfast for us and they came up with a cake that the chef in the hotel restaurant had made the night before as well as a delicious fry up for us to give us energy for today. "Happy birthday, baby. Hope this is the best birthday you've ever had because you deserve all this and so much more and I'd be more than happy to give you everything you've ever wanted. I love you my princess." "Baby, this IS the best birthday I've ever had. Thank you for making it so special and surprising me more and more with lots of things since we've been here. I love my card off you and can't wait to see what we get up to today. I love you too my prince."

When we get downstairs to the reception after having breakfast and getting dressed, the reception staff inform us that a taxi is outside waiting for us that I asked them about last night which is taking us to Griffith Park to see the Griffith Observatory and Beth has no idea that's where we are going and what's going to happen there.

"Where are we going baby?" She asked me. "You'll have to wait and see because it's a surprise, princess." I said to her. When we pull up outside of the place she gets so excited and has a massive smile on her face. "No way! You've brought us to Griffith Park to see the Griffith Observatory? This was one of the places that I've always wanted to see! How did you know?" She's so excited, it's adorable. I love seeing her so happy. "I certainly did bring us here and I knew that you've always wanted to see this place because I remember you telling me. I remember everything you tell me so I wanted to make your dreams come true." I said to her.

When we got to the Griffith Observatory, we had a look around and then when she had her back to me looking over at the view of LA, I decided to get down on one knee with the ring box in my hand. She turns around and says, "Baby, have you ever seen a view like this? It's absolutely stun-" she cuts herself off when she sees me on one knee with a ring box open in my hand to reveal a diamond ring.

"Beth Jade Fellows, I've loved you from the moment that I first met you. I wanted to make this birthday extra special for you because you mean so much to me and I want you with me wherever I go in the world with my acting career. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, princess and make all of your dreams come true. So will you make me the happiest guy alive and become Mrs Fiennes-Tiffin?"

"Baby, this is incredible and definitely the best birthday ever. You always make my birthday's special no matter where we are in the world. I will go wherever you go baby no matter what because it's me and you forever. Of course I will marry you, you're my Prince Charming and I love you with all my heart!" She said back to me with tears in her eyes and I kiss her passionately as I put the ring on her finger.

I think it's safe to say this is the best birthday I have ever given her in all her life and all the years we have been together. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
