"I'm leaving... For a course..."

"I'm boarding the plane soon."
You were quiet. How could this be? Didn't he... No...
"Please don't lie to me..." You forced a chuckle. Was this really the Christmas you were looking for?
"Ah... Sorry," a distant announcement, "I have to go. I promise I'll celebrate Christmas with you when I return! See you."
"Oikawa! You idiot!" And you hung up.
Dammit! You were looking forward to tomorrow too! Crawling into your blanket, you felt tears surface. This Christmas... Was going to be another lonely one.
