Chapter 2 : The heads brefing

Draco pov :
"Darling time to wake up you leave in a bit"
"Okay thanks mother"
"Breakfast is ready on the table your apparating to the station arent you"
"Yes mother"
"Ok I'm going to work now see you at Christmas"
"Bye mother"
"Bye darling"
So today is the day I guess. I hope people dont start isolating me because I was a death eater I just wish I could tell them I was forced into and never wanted to be one. Urgh hopefully I'll get sorted into ravenclaw or hufflepuff and not gryffindor. Anyway its 10 I better go I need to be there early to see the headmistress and find out who the head girl is.

Hermione pov:
"Sorry mrs weasley I wont be leaving with you guys I have to go to the station early to get a briefing of the headmistress and see who the head boy is can you tell the other I'll see them on the train. I'll be apparating to the station so I'm there on time."
"No problem love make sure you eat before you apparate and have fun being head girl."
"I will thanks mrs weasley. I'll be leaving now bye."
"Bye dear"

Third person pov :
Hermione and Draco both apparate to a shady spot in king's cross station so they aren't seen by muggles. Hermione is the first one to cross through the barrier who is then shortly followed by draco.

McGonagall POV:
Hermione is the first one to walk into the compartment.
"Hello miss Grainger."
"Hello professor."
"We are just waiting for mr M- or the head boy and then I'll start the introduction."
"Ok professor."

A few minutes later draco walked through the compartment looking nervous.
"Hello Mr Malfoy. As you can already see our head girl is miss Grainger."
"Yes professor"
When Hermione saw Draco come in her face look shocked then changed to inquisitive.
"Ok then let's start then. As you two can already see you have been chosen to be head boy and girl and so it isn't a surprise you will be sharing a dormitory.."
"WHAT!"
"Right continuing. You guys will be sharing a dormitory and no you wont be able to take your belongings out of it. You will have separate sleeping compartments. Also it is based where the old room of requirements was. Also Mr Malfoy we have changed our mind about putting you in a different house you will stay in slytherin so then we can try and get the houses to bond again so that means you to will have to get along and I also recommend that you guys sit on each other house tables every now and then once you have gotten to know each other to show the rest of Hogwarts the two houses with the biggest rivalry can get along. I will announce you teo being heads at the opening feast so everyone knows. After the feast please remain in the hall so then I can show you around the compartment and give you your head timetables and give you the password to the dorm. You will also sometime this week need to talk to the prefects to sort out patrolling you guys will need to do it each night though whether you take turns or do it together is your choice. I now need to talk to each of you in turn so mrs Grainger can you step outside so I can talk to mr Malfoy."
"Yes professor"
Hermione then stepped out the room quickly.
"Right mr Malfoy. Your mother has told me what is going on at home right now. I also know you dont want to really be here because of the past but if anyone does saying anything rude about it you are allowed to give detentions. You have been picked for a reason you will figure out during this year. If you haven't got any questions you can leave."
"Thank you professor."

Hermione POV:
"You can go in now Herm I mean Grainger"
Wait did he just almost say my name and didnt call me a mudblood. I walked in still confused by that encounter and then professor McGonagall started to talk to me,
"I ask you not to tell mr Potter and mr Weasley about sharing a dormitory with Mr Malfoy I also ask you not to tell them who the head boy is till the feast and try to keep and eye on them and keep them out of trouble. I also ask you to start talking to mr Malfoy first and try get along with him I dont expect to hear that you two have been arguing or fighting. Can I please ask you one last thing."
"Sure professor anything"
"If you do hear anyone talking about mr Malfoy past and saying bad things about it can you give them a detention because he is a changed person and doesn't deserve it."
"Absolutely professor."
"Right that is everything then I'll see you after the opening feast then."
"Alright bye then professor"

Third person pov :
As Hermione walked out of the compartment she looks up at the clock to see it already half eleven so then she speeds out if the door to go find the compartment her friends are in a stumble into Draco without realising. W
"Ehh sorry for bumping into you umm Draco."
"No problem Hermione you dont need to apologise falling for me" he said with his usual smirk. Hermione looked up at him and just smiles.
"Err Hermione I was just wondering if I could come with you to apologise to potter and the weasleys if that's alright."
"Umm yea sure but I can't say your the head boy yet ok order from the professor"
"Yea that's not a problem"
"Ok then it's this way"
With that they both walked away together talking about anything and everything and they seemed to be getting along for now.
